I for the most part listen to hardcore but in terms of old school punk I much prefer The Damned to The Sex Pistols, they had a nihilistic fuck all attitude that the Pistols couldn't match with all their posturing.
i prefer the clash to the pistols but they bought `attitude` back to R`n`R something that had been almost forgotten .i think it was a wrong move to oust matlock for sid who bought nothing to the band except to make them almost cartoon

The sound is bleh...but its good to see them wind the crowd up. They have been rocking for many years and they are still great at it.
