      The defeat against Liverpool was napolis first since late April! They also have set a new club record winning streak of 13 games beating the 11 win streak set in 86 (I think). Spalletti has played down this season after losing influential players (mertens, koulibaly, insigne and ruiz), but the recruitment has been special! Fingers crossed they can bring home the scudetto! If they can continue how they have started then there's no reason why not... watch this space!

      Hey, Dave. I think it's time now that you make video on Ruud Van Nistelrooy's PSV Eindhoven tactics. By now you must have understood his coaching philosophy/style of play. But also even if you want to do that video on at the end of the season after understanding/analyzing his coachingphilosophy/style of play better, that's fine for me.

    How can you make an analysis of Napoli without talking about the midfielders!? Lobotka distributing the ball with 95%+ accuracy, Zieliński with the most opening passes in the top 5 leagues, and Anguissa who is just a box to box monster!

Look at his work rate, look at the stats, look at the number of chances he's created for Napoli this year. Some crosses have been world class. But no one is making a video on Mario.

    That winning team spirit in just two months? It is eighth wonder of modern world. Prior to the season, they had notable replacements including Khvaradona, Lovotka, and Minjae in places of Insigne, Luiz, and Kulibali. The scout and management team did superb biz, not to mention, honestly worthy of accolades from major biz schools all over the world. But we do must aware that Mr. Spalletti shaped the team in just that nick of time. It is like you found pieces of car engine and they assemble without your touch to become an engine.

      Tbh, that's key to a balanced team = skill + power. It means skills builds but power can come from nothing as well eg speed or reflexes or strength so the defenders cannot do 1-on-1 but have to act as a unit against the striker therefore freeing up other attacking players. And just taking poaching chances adding goals out of nothing as well. Agree - Liverpool suffer without Mane this season for similar reason.

Also your point on Spalletti paving the way for flexible formations, I think you are vastly overlooking the Ajax teams of the 79’s and their ‘total football’ approach. I live analysis videos like this and I think your approach is good but a fact check would add credence to what you are presenting.

    great analysis. I've never been a fan of Napoli but I'll have to give them credit for how well they play. Also, Spalletti has always been one of the most underrated Italian managers, and I'm not saying this only now when Napoli are riding the high tide, I've been saying it since his Roma days as I have always cheered for AS Roma (AC Milan and AS Roma have always been my favorite Italian clubs, in this order)... so anyway, I've known, and been impressed by Luciano since his Roma days. When the Romans have fired him I've been really sad and I don't think I've watched Roma for a few seasons after that (but I don't remember).
    But yeah, great tactician, but then again, which Italian manager is not a great tactician because Spalletti, Conte, Ancelotti, even Inzaghi and Allegri (while on the downhill currently) are still great managers, much greater than anything my shitty Romania has ever had... or even the Brits...

      Well, Napoli previously had other years of really enjoyable football, namely the two years in which they almost won the Serie A with Sarri, and some of the years of the so called "marvellous trio" (Hamsik, Cavani and Lavezzi) like 10 years ago with Mazzarri.

      @@obitodmg5694 I wouldn't know cause I took a break from watching football from 2011 until 2020. I mean, I did watch UCL and EPL since these 2 competitions have always been top notch, but after my beloved AC Milan have fallen apart with the departures of Ibracadabra and Thiago Silva some 12+ years ago I stopped caring about Serie A, which is probably why I never got to see the "marvelous trio" Napoli. But even if I somehow managed to watch this marvelous trio that you're speaking of, I would have probably still not been impressed by it for many reasons: 1) I never liked Napoli, like I said in my OP, 2) I never liked Cavani in particular (Hamsik was ok), and 3) you can't compare Napoli to AC Milan. Milan have the most beautiful football in Europe when they have the right players like they've had in their heydays. Napoli can't even come close to what Berlusconi's Milan have achieved, and I'm also talking about Maradona's Napoli here. Even back then, aside from Diego (only one player), Milan have still been way better and way more pleasing to the eye than Napoli. And yes, I do know that Napoli, have won the Scudetto before Milan, but for me AC Milan have been way better (and they'll always be). Sorry, I'm just a Milan fan, I can't stomach Napoli :p

      @@blabla-rg7ky actually that Napoli with Hamsik, Cavani and Lavezzi was exactly the one that arrived second against that Milan with the first year of Ibra and Thiago Silva together. However, Sarri's napoli was actually much better than that, it had a reknown style of football called "Sarriball", and it was amazing for the eyes. If you like how they play this year, I can just tell you that Napoli in 2015-16 but especially in 2017-18 was just as beautiful as it is now, just in a different way, it was second in Serie A with 91 points, a result that usually lets you arrive first.

      @@obitodmg5694 it's not gonna happen, man! Stop trying to shove Napoli down my throat because you'll make me hate them even more. I can be unbiased and admit when they play well, or beautifully (and this season they do both, and it's only because of Spalletti, not because of anybody else), so yes, I can admit this. But from giving an unbiased opinion to becoming a fan is a long way and should come from the heart, not from facts. And my heart has never been with Napoli, so stop trying to convince me how great your team is because I'm not interested. For me only AC Milan (1st) and AS Roma (2nd) matter from Serie A from a neutral fan's point of view, and only when these clubs have players that I like, From Napoli I only like Karachvelia (or whatever the hell his name is, I can never spell it LOL) and Chuky Lozano. Those are the only guys that I like from Napoli and I wish my retarded Milan signed them before Napoli but the Milan scouts are so retarded, I honestly don't understand what the fuck they are doing all day long :(

If you like this team not for the game but for the player it's another thing, because Kvara is a world class player that can make every football fan fall in love, I recognize it. Pep got the False 9 from Spalletti? What about a fella called Cruyff???

    • @micheleduritto
      @micheleduritto 2 года назад

      What about him?....Cruyff used in in the 70's...Spalletti used it in the eraly 2000's and Pep started using it in the late 2000's......that doesn't mean that he directly or only got it from Spalletti of course...but for certain Pep knew about italian football (he played there) and about Totti, and it is a fact that Spalletti used the false 9 a couple of years before Pep used it......when Spalletti was using the false 9 nobody in Europe had used it for 30+ years....then all of a sudden Pep and Ferguson started using it after only a couple of years of Spalletti using it...and keep in mind that in those years Totti was linked to every major club in the world (but he just stayed loyal to the club of his city until the end) while playing under Spalletti as false 9 he scored 26 golas in the 2006/2007 season...something that for a number 10 like him was not something that usual...so its not like him, Spalletti and Roma were unknown entities to the football world.....yeah, of course we can say that Spalletti was not the one that invented the false 9 role (it was first used in 1930 by austria then hungary and only after another decade by Rinus Michels...Cruyff's choach)...but he is the one that revived it and made it work in the modern era of football...and then came Pep that, with messi, perfected it.
