  • This was round #1 the Rim Nordic XC Series. We're doing 4 races again this year and the mass starts are back! We're no longer doing the time trial format we did last year to maintain a tactical gap between riders. This is great because wheel-to-wheel racing is so much more fun. In this race, I had good long stints of working together with Josh and Ryan. And on the final lap, I had a line of sight to Max in P6, but couldn't quite bridge the gap. I felt great though; it was my first race this year where I was fresh. As the schedule coincidentally fell on the Sunday of a recovery week in my training program.
I won't publish race #2, as I'll be racing very tired on week 3 of the biggest training block of my life. But stay tuned on my channel for races #3 and #4. Hopefully, I can get good points and maybe I crack the elusive top5 of the Rim Nordic Pro XC Series? I have never climbed on that podium.

Josh sent the link to this video because I was thinking of coming out to race with you guys. Do you ever do a PIP setup in your videos for when you have riders in from and back? I used to setup a PIP rear view mirror style to show the riders behind when on the motos. What camera and data overlay program are you using? I've not found anything that works good for my Hero 8 and garmin 830 setup.

I use Garmin Virb to export the telemetry and edit with Final Cut Pro. I’d say it’s worth learning a program like FCP or Davinci Resolve (free) to make your own PIP how you like it. Once you got the basics of video editing, making a PIP is easy in those programs.

Virb camera makes data overlay too easy comepared to other brands. I have PIP dialed as far how to do it in several editing programs, I've just never used it for mtbing because I'm always alone. I was hoping you had an easier way to sync up a 10 min video of a DH from within 4 hours of GPS data. Virb camera do that atomatically from my understanding so it's not like you have to pull data from your edge head unit.
This is what I did back in the day but I'm unsure where on screen I'd place the PIP because I use a chesty mount and like to see my mtb bars in the lower area of the screen. ruclips.net/video/mEFDFqvWz0M/видео.html

The files might not be done syncing or rendering in the datacenter closer to you.
