    I literally had this surgery yesterday. No pain afterwards; just moderate discomfort.
    Looking forward to a better quality of life.

      I just found out I have a L5 s1 disc bulge to the left. I have back pain when I sit but no leg pain. Do u have a disc bulge/ back pain or only leg pain. Also I only hurt when I sit not when I'm trying to sleep. Did you heal up completely? If so how long did it take and what did u do to heal ? Please help 😊🙃 also my back used to get tight when I lay down for bed but since I started back exercises 4 weeks ago. It doesn't get tight when I lay down only when I drive or sit. Are u 100% healed or do u still have back pain?? Are you having any complications after surgery?

    In Canada you wait over a year for the spinal surgeon to look at your file. Then she orders an MRI which takes another six months.

    I am 8 weeks post op and sciatic pains visit me 4-5 days a week. Sitting is tricky too. I’ve complied with all the post op instructions but overall I can not still say that the operation was a good idea. So I‘ve got mixed feelings about the outcome of the surgery. Nevertheless, I am really looking forward to getting back to my healthier version of me.

    • @fromproximab9839
      @fromproximab9839 2 года назад +2

      Hi Guys, thanks for asking. I did not see the earlier comment. It took me 6 months to be able to sit on my bum and all the sciatic pains went as well after 6 months. One year later, I started to cycle and I can say I am fully recovered, but I still am mindful of lifting heavy load weighing more than 10 pounds . It was the best decision in my life to undergo the microdiscectomy. I am hugely grateful to my neurosurgeon Prof Semih Keskin for carrying out this surgery.

      I had the surgery and it went awesome for around a month, since then i've been almost considered worse. they waited 9 months for me to get the surgery so i think they ultimately compressed the nerve to unrepairable points.

    Please remove music from video. Very distracting, hard to hear doctor’s echoey voice. Good info but will not watch again because of music.

    Hi if during the surgery if the nerve is permanently damaged does the patient becomes disabled and does the patient feel the sciatica pain long the legs

    • @BayCareClinic
      @BayCareClinic  5 лет назад +7

      Hello and thank you for your question. Surgical complication rates are very low. The goal of the microdiscectomy is to relieve pressure on the damaged nerve and provide pain relief. The nerve will take time - sometimes weeks or even months - to completely heal.

    • @jasonthomas7069
      @jasonthomas7069 5 лет назад +1

      I'm sorry, that may have been unnecessarily harsh. Let's start over.
      Your video would be much better if the background music wasn't playing. I can't focus on what you're saying. The information you are providing, would be beneficial to me. But, I could not imagine spending 14 minutes of my life listening to that background audio. Please consider my plea and remove the audio.
