Kaley Cuoco has a lovable quality about her. That doesn't mean that she can't act. She can. But, she has this loveable quality that other actors would kill to have and the audience will always root for her.
The writing got worse and worse during the second half. It felt like all the effort went into the Sheldon/Amy storyline, and to hell with everyone else. Raj had all these romantic interests lasting just one episode and winds up alone in the end. Howard never finds closure regarding his father, and the episode with his half-brother was also a one-off leaving more questions than answers. It was almost as if they were setting up a spin-off for Raj and Howard. Bernadette became manipulative and narcissistic to the point where it was tough to watch. Also, Leonard abruptly forgives his mother for her toxic behavior throughout his life with no real resolution. It would have been better and more impactful if he simply stepped up and cut ties with her, ending their relationship altogether. I feel like Penny was written with caution, being the only one not caught up in any drama
Michael Jordan’s coach told him he had no talent in middle school. Walt Disney’s art teacher told him he had no imagination. Now stop to think how the world would be if we hold these opinions as gospel. Don’t ever give up. Live your dream. ❤
She's known mostly from Big Bang but I really remember her from Charmed, but maybe because that was the final season. She seems so kool and fun to be around.
I saw her in Charmed as well. I loved the Billy Character. I would love to get a reunion with her and the rest of the Charmed cast. I know it will never happen. But I loved the idea of that world expanding in the final season.
I have adored her for years. It was amazing watching the one dimensional Penny of the pilot, quickly become an anchor on Big Bang. She was clearly intended to be the "straight man" who other characters used as a spring board for their quips and humor. I think the showrunners saw Kaley's comedy chops and realized she was something special. Big Bang is the first show since Friends where I loved every single character. Yes, writing is key, but without quality actors, good writing can fall flat. With many other servicable actors, there is a real chance Penny would have been written off the show the first season. Fortunately for the fans Kaley owned the role. I miss that show!
Such a perceptive question asking her about improv. I was so thinking how great she as at "Yes, and..." when watching this interview then Conan asks the question! Why he's great at what he does. And Kaley is a natural at comedy. So great to watch.
I have loved Conan from the the very way-back beginnings and he is the best in the business. The highest notes are hit when he interviews folks who have become his friends, like scrumptious Kaley and, I guess also pretty scrumptious, Olyphant. Another banger from Coco and the gang.
It's funny but when I heard that comment I immediately thought, "Yeah, she totally is!" Her potting and panning is what made The Flight Attendant work.
I was told in High School that what I intended to do as a profession wasn't a real job, I did it anyway. And it's been my primary profession now for 27 years. I have also experience years of imposter syndrome.
It affected her for her whole life, she said she never took another acting class after that and that’s what she thinks of herself as an actress now. That is an incredibly cruel thing to do to a 10 year old
I’m not so sure about that. I watched The Flight Attendant” having never watched more than a few minutes of BBT and I was so impressed with her performance in that I thought she should win some sort of best actor award. I then proceeded to binge watch BBT on MAX - twice - and was again impressed with her. I’ll watch her in whatever follows.
I think Kelly has it sorted out perfectly about the teacher. It's true. She isn't sophisticated (or more accurately a snob) and her personality has always been a bit all over the place. But the teacher showed why she was a teacher and not a successful actor in thinking it was a negative. Kelly was only 10 and already in touch with staying true to who she was, not trying to do what everyone else does trying to fit in or do as others expect. Which is what makes her so great and unique in everything she does! Please, please, please, I hope Kelly never stops being herself. That's her strongest quality in acting among many great qualities. That teacher sucks. She just sucks. 😄
Honestly from her character in Big Bang and the way the media can be with these "American Sweetheart" classifications I couldn't stand to see her on tv. But once viewed outside of all that realized how much talent she has. Been killing it over these last years, have to give credit where it's due.
What acting teachers are calling a 10 year old out on being awful. First of all no personality is fully developed at this age, and the example with Harrison Ford shows, that this obviously means nothing at all. At last, when these teachers know so much about acting, why they're not successfull actors?
Pots and pans? What does that even mean? Watch Uta Hagen teach acting on YT. Her students would do object exercises where they would wait for a subway or pick your shoes and purse before you head out the door. If Uta called you a “pots and pans actor”, that was high praise!
Watching Kaley ugly cry when the Flight Attendant was nominated for an Emmy was an amazing, authentic moment. Amidst that had to be something connected to all the crap she endured as a woman and perhaps some lingering feels from the "8 Rules" disaster (which easily could have derailed her career). And she was so great in the Flight Attendant depicting a woman with demons yet on the outside absolutely fabulous. I once spent several hours with a small group of passengers on a United flight across the U.S. chatting with a flight attendant who was stunningly gorgeous, blonde, blue eyes, worldly, in her early 40s, and very single. I remember thinking there must be a back story that wasn't so great. The Flight Attendant was one vision of that - as real as reality when it came to such issues impacting people as adults.
@@iGaveLiaHIV Caley's first major TV role was the daughter in the sitcom "8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter". The dad was played by John Ritter who died unexpectedly from an aortic aneurysm in the middle of production. They tried to salvage the hit show but that proved impossible.
Kaley is a great comedic actress, love that she found success there. If she wants to become a more serious actress, I hope she does and finds growth and success there too like Nicey Nash did. Nicey also mentioned taking acting classes on the side. If Kaley doesn’t like the serious roles, we will happily have Kaley in comedy or she can direct as well, plenty of options ❤ she’s great
I actually kind of liked comedies that reset every week so you didn't have to watch the 58 episodes prior to that one to know what was going on. Even with all the great shows and streaming platforms around now, I still miss the 80s and 90s comedies like Friends, Seinfeld, Cheers, Wings, Family Ties, Frasier, etc. They just don't make shows like that anymore, and you can only watch the old reruns so many times.
I never got this thing when people watch a show only for the characters. They are not real people. I think the crew did a remarkable job of portraying the evolution of every character. I watch a show for writers and actors, and some times to awe what a remarkable set the designers made.
I haven’t seen other podcasts do that where the sponsors in the clips too, if it is like bonus pay others should have this setup also it’s really smart

That cruel thing inspired her to improve her skills, now she is here... Maybe worth it...
