    The guy shouldn’t have parked on his property, BUT, when he came to get his car, home owner should have let him leave. Senseless crime that could have been avoided.

      @@jamzzieehe wouldn’t have had a reason to defend himself if he’d let the kid drive off. Tow truck’s not there? Too bad. Get his license plate number and tell him the next time you’re going to have him towed but you cannot block the man from getting in his car and leaving. This judge must have gotten a nice thick envelope.

      This man had tons of signs sating by the property. He did he the right thing. By calling the police and a tow truck. Then, when the young man shows up to pick up his car , he assaults the man punching in four times in the head. I can't blame them. I would want to protect myself, too. It's sad that he passed away. But these days, people are crazy.I understand being afraid. And he should have respected the property and not park there. Young guy should have used some common sense and self-control. And not start punching people in their head. He was wrong . He was in the wrong.why did he keep parking there? And not understand respect the man property? The owner of the house man being is a veteran with mental problems being afraid. For his life. Either way, people must have more respect for one another.

    911 operators need to understand that people are in shock sometimes when they call in

    • @evanabt8578
      @evanabt8578 9 месяцев назад +17

      I think they do understand that.. and I think that’s why they talk the way that they do with people.. can’t show emotions Cuzz I think that would intensify the problem. They try and keep asking questions to kinda distract somewhat the person from the issue so they can gather information.

    • @PupSentinel
      @PupSentinel 9 месяцев назад

      @@evanabt8578 This is correct, what a dispatcher is trained to do is keep calm, no emotion, be firm and get as much information from the caller as they can so the responders on scene are prepared and to remain safe. The redirection the dispatcher attempts while not effective due to the caller not listening and being as stressed as he was. How a dispatcher is trained to handle this call,
      "911 what's the address of the emergency?"
      *gets address*
      "What is the nature of the emergency?"
      *caller is panicked and garbles something about a stabbing*
      "Sir, remain calm. I need to know what happened. You said something about a stabbing. Has someone been stabbed?"
      *caller repeats, somewhat more calm*
      "Is the person breathing?"
      *Screams of nothing useful*
      "Sir, I need you to calm down. Is the person breathing?"
      *caller says no, continues screaming incoherently*
      "Sir, I need you to remain calm and follow my instructions. Where are the person's injuries?"
      *tells dispatcher*
      "Okay, now I need you to (insert life saving measures). You need to do this now!"
      Something along those lines, you continue to repeat instructions firmly but calmly until the caller is able to follow your instructions. You are the calm voice in an otherwise stressful environment.
      My mother was a dispatcher for something like 20 years, all I've learned about how to handle an emergency situation is from her. The one time I've had to call for a medical emergency I remained calm, despite the adrenaline and stress, I managed to give the dispatcher all the relevant information to get medical aid to the injured person. She had broken her shoulder after falling down and was unable to give anything really intelligible.

      My only issue is dispatchers often wait too long to explain that help is already on the way.
      I've seen too many calls where the first minute is spent talking past one another because the caller doesn't know that and they view the questions as a hurdle to getting help rolling, instead of as a way to make sure they get the best possible help.
      As soon as they are told help has been dispatched, you can hear the caller relax and start answering questions clearly and following first aid instructions.

      Well I've personally experienced people doing this living in downtown Minneapolis and they'll keep coming back flipping you off. IME the only thing to teach them is to tow but getting a truck there fast enough is often the problem. I was waiting for a truck once for a guy who'd repeatedly ignore my warnings and decided to square off on me with a arrogant grin on his face with a 'what you going to do about it' line. Pepper sprayed him and he couldn't get out of there fast enough. NEVER CAME BACK. The stuff was literally dripping off his face. Bet it was a fun drive. The apology is just a brush off. They know those spaces are rented or owned. They know the signs are there. They don't care.

      This whole situation is outrageous! Why did the guy just let him take his car. I get it if the guy continuously does it and kind of thumbs his nose up at him. But jeez and the ring camera is so grainy, it's hard to tell if the dead person was the aggressor like the other guy said he was.
      But from what I heard, it seems like the guy kept saying, this is my car, and then get away from my car what are you doing to my car. I think maybe the guy was probably going to flatten his tire.

There are a lot of important questions and if we don''t have the answers we send minimal resources because we aren't sure. Someone screaming for help at our dispatcher and never answering a question so we send minimal units because there are true confirmed emergencies going on elsewhere. Answer the questions. Most of the time the people screaming and freaking out calls turn out to be nothing about 90% of the time in my career. If we sent 5 cops, an ambulance, and a fire truck, to every call where someone was screaming for help, we would not have enough resources to be used. Additionally, that dispatcher is an EMD and MUST follow a STRICT scipt on what to say and when. Not following it can result in a reprimand and leave them liable as well

They ignore them because they get tired of looking for spots on the street and they'll take advantage cause they're 'just running in for a minute'. It's a line I heard way too many times when I lived in the cities and confronted violators. But a minute is often 20, an hour, overnight. Tenants come back, aren't authorized to call the tow truck so they typically are out of luck unless you have someone on site like I was to deal with it. Generally the ambulance is already in route while dispatch is getting the information. They will forward the information to the EMT’s so they have an idea what they need when they arrive. For example if it had been a heart attack they would have brought in the defibrillator and not had to run back to the ambulance to get it.

    • @LizzW90
      @LizzW90 9 месяцев назад +2

      . They ask questions to get information to the medics while they're on their way and, in cases of violence like this, to keep police updated on any threat that may be lurking. Do you not think knowing whether or not the person who stabbed him was lingering around is a good thing to know? Knowing other things like his age and where he was stabbed along with other questions allows EMS to be as prepared as possible when they get there as opposed to having to take time to size up the scene first. They don't just yeet people into an ambulance and bounce most of the time. Watch some real videos of EMS and dispatchers and you'll understand why they do the things they do.
      Not getting the answers to those questions is literally what delays care. It takes away precocious seconds when they have to figure it out on scene instead of knowing it ahead of time.

Not wishing jail on anyone but most of the violent or bad crimes happen by people have have multiple felonies already and have been in an out 5 plus times for serious charges. Dude shouldn’t have been parking there illegally for the 10th time and he shouldn’t have violently attacked the guy on his own property. You do realize that if he had just not parked there, this entire ordeal could’ve been avoided. People need to be held accountable. And it’s not the first time he’s parked there. He’s obviously seen the signs and knows he shouldn’t park there. Also, if someone is standing between your vehicle and you, normal people would just call the cops. Not violently attack someone. We already know the kid started the physical altercation. It’s just that after being punched several times, the bussiness owner needed to defend himself and was in fear of his life. This was a perfect example of self defense. Try to look at ALL the details and not cherry pick what helps your made up narrative sound better.
