PANDORA Nostalgia PART I: My 2008/2009 Catalog | 14kt Gold, Two Tones and Charms with Gemstones

- Hi dear friends, happy Sunday! I hope everyone is doing well. In today's video I will start sharing with you my 2008/2009 PANDORA catalog. It is long due. I have been thinking how to share this masterpiece with you but has been hesitating since I wanted to do it justice. Hence, I have decided to split this catalog in a couple of videos as I want to showcase each piece on it with plenty of attention. I will go in order as they appear on the catalog. In this first part I will share the 14kt gold charms, the two tones charms and the charms with gemstones and cameos. Oh Karen you are finally sharing this catalogue!! 👏 I've been wanting to watch it all day but we had visitors. Finally have time to sit down uninterrupted. You know this is the catalogue with my diamond delight set on the front ❤️. Even I don't have this one.
She won't damage her stacked whole bracelets if she doesn't move all day haha! I don't stack 2 full bracelets ever!! Honestly I do love the care and attention to detail Pandora did with their catalogues. They told a story. Even their RUclips videos are completely different from years ago. They are only a few seconds long now.
Yes, I haven't even shown my bracelets containing my gold pieces.
Mostly threaded so heavier. They had open works though.
You would just save or layby charms back then. Now they retire things so quickly. But my first pieces were bought using grocery shopper docket discount offers at a small jewellery store. I just wish I'd made better choices. My first bracelet was very large and floppy and took me forever to fill. Probably why I hate loose ones now. Mine was so large after a while I could take it off without undoing it.
A video like this should not be rushed.
I have never owned the tt cupcake 🧁. Does that mean I'm not a true collector?
Funny how some charms sell for more now then in the catalogue and others are much cheaper.

First of all, I must say I don't have the TT cupcake either 😝 ! But I know most do.
I am oldie for sure when it refers to Pandora, Like you I used to treasure that sentiment of going to the store to pick up a very special and sentimental charm to me. That's why it took me so long as well, because I really valued the story, the moments collection. Now days, is more about themes etc... but I don't see the special moments attach to charms as back in the day. It is okay, to each their own. I also have pieces on my collection that I got them just because they are pretty, fun, or just make me smile.
You know, the reason why my collection is not as extensive on vitange charms (besides budget) was precisely because there was no need of rushing to get things. Charms in Pandora catalogs, use to last so long on the regular collections, year and years. It gave us time, to purchase and to have those personal moments in life that made you want a charm to attach to that memory. That's kind of sad that that feeling is sort of loss.
I cannot wait to see your bracelet with golds, what a treasure. I only have a few, as I have gotten them after I started my channel. That's when I learned about outlets and Rue La La. I wish I had more though.
Yes, I don't want to rush it with this one. I filmed part II the very same day, and from page 21-40 it took me about the same time as this one... I have to edit a bit though jejejejeje. I will probably have that one up some time this week but will need to leave the rest for next month.
I was using my new microphone, which is supposed to have noise canceling. My children are always with me so sometimes is hard for me to film without noise. I will have to check on the sound for the next one, I know I can talk naturally loud 😆 . I'm glad to know you enjoyed watching.

@@PuertoRicanGirl My husband checks the volume in the editing process. He can adjust it so it's always about the same. Problem is if I turn the volume up the stupid adds are so loud they rip my ears off. 😱
I think we are very much on the same page when it comes to old Pandora and how we feel about where it was until now. I do like some of the quirky pieces now. It's just such a panic buy rushed experience now. And if you don't purchase when there's discounts there will be one and you know you've paid too much. There was something good about knowing the price was the price. Like it or not!!
I will be watching out for Part 2, and 3 and 4 haha! However long it takes 🙂.

Oh, fabulous walk down memory lane. As you know, I love old-school Pandora. The murano, pearl, two-tone, and gemstone charms are what made me start collecting.🥰 I enjoyed looking through this catalog. I also remember the days when there weren’t any sales - or retailers like Rue La La. 🌟I miss gemstone charms and a greater variety of two-tone charms too (but I guess that saves my wallet a little bit!). Looking forward to seeing part 2!✨😊🌸

Hello Karen! I have been watching this video and rewatching parts since you uploaded 🤗💗😍 Thank you for sharing the catalog and the elegant charms that pandora had back then. Truly a special time, like you I wish I was in a position to grow my pandora collection. Those charms are still out there, with time and patience they can be found preloved 😊 I remember too back in the day that the only promos pandora did was the free bracelet event twice a year. Those were so anticipated!! I feel like all the additional sales might be coinciding with the lesser quality that we have now. But the sales do attract more customers 🤷♀️ But how many Americans now just wait and buy on Rue… I would love to hear an analysts thoughts on Pandora from a business/marketing perspective 😅
Hi dear Pandora Panda, I could agree with you more. I feel totally the same as you in thoughts. I also heard that the more promos coincide with the addition of many cz's that previous collectors didn't like much. The addition of cz's also may "justify" the increase in price of some items. Others, particularly some Trollbeads collectors that I met in my store in PR felt that also Pandora decline for them when they stop making pieces with gemstones... and then some with the introduction of the collaboration with Disney. On that, I disagree because I do love my Disney x Pandora collection pieces and always anticipate myself getting more. In fact, most of my current wish list is from Disney.
This catalog is very precious to me. I wish I was more courageous to venture on the pre-loved marked. Happy week! Hope you had a sweet Valentine's day!
