  • This Outlaw is one nice detector! Ground Balance adjustment is smooth and more refined compared to my Vaquero. Also, the Discriminator is awesome! I found I can Disc out a dime with this detector, and with a little travel left on the knob, can read quarters and those larger silver coins accurately. The Retune button keeps the Outlaw optimized which ensures maximum depth! More to come over the next couple months.

Thats a tough one. Tesoro detectors are all so unique. I guess I would go with the Outlaw because of it's excellent Disc circuit and those three coils make it so flexible.

Hey, i'm in Jersey too!. I use the AT-Pro, and the X-Terra 305, as well as the viper. Gonna get me one of those Outlaws next. Great video. Good hunting, and stop by and say hello.

    Ok Mike, I am impressed.
Never would have considered this because I already have the Vaq and 2 out of the 3 coils, but with this finer ability to disc and to be able to switch to all metal with that toggle, it has really got me thinking.
What I am really curious about dealing with those zinc screw on and pop tops, and tabs that range from nickel to aluminum.
If this thing can give me more info about those than my Vaq, I have a decision to make in the future.
    Keep these great videos coming!

The Outlaw is just one of my favorites. The thing I like about Tesoro detectors is they are all different in several ways, with the exception of the Vaquero and Cibola. There are times I like to use my Golden with its tones or Outlaw with its' excellent disc, and so on. They’re' all unique and so much fun to use. Thanks for the comments Jim.

i use the tesoro hawkeye ,here in the UK hugely under rated detector,,you would be amazed with what it has turned out,,you dont really need a complicated expensive machine to find most targets

Actually I've been using the 10x12 Widescan for about two weeks now. Awesome coil. A video is in the works. Thanks - Mike/'53Silver

Tesoro does sell a couple detectors with displays. The Cortes and DeLeon both have displays, both excellent detectors.

Mike - Enjoyed this video very much. Is the Outlaw your favorite Tesoro machine? If not, which is your favorite? Thanks and keep turning out videos. Jim

If you had to pick one and only one Tesoro, which one would you pick?

So, After 5yrs, what is your opinion of the Outlaw? If you were to buy a new one, would it be the Vaquaro or the Outlaw? or???

The outlaw is definitely a good machine but I still favor the vaquero.

So in choosing just one......I have narrowed it to 3 possibilities. Which of these would be best for finding that lost gold ring or necklace?
Silver uMax; Vaquero; or Outlaw and what gives it that extra edge?
