My dad died 18 years ago, your grief brought back my memories of that painful time. Time will lessen the pain but you will have the good memories of your dad to bring a smile. I'm sure your dad was proud of you and all that you have accomplished.

Paul when I was a young boy I remember standing by the casket of my grandpa. I looked up at my dad and thought that was my dad’s dad. It sure wasn’t easy for my dad. When my dad passed I found out how hard it is to loose your Dad. Paul you hang in there. He was and is proud of you looking down from heaven. Don’t forget to hug your mom. ......SO SORRY...... I know how you feel. I lost my only friend as well "Daddy". We was in the process of restoring his pride and joy. A 1960 military jeep. We took the body off then he died. Couldn't look at it then I tried to work on it but I know nothing about 24v and couldn't get it to crank back up so it's still sitting here with the body off. Sorry for your lose brother.
Paul, you got me, right in the feels! Listening to you explain the story of that truck, where it came from, and how you and your Dad and brothers beat it, tore it apart and rebuilt it over and over, made me shed a tear. I never got the joy of experiencing this with my father. He passed way too early at 63. This was well before I had the resources to be able to work on projects with him and my brother. I’ll be living vicariously through you and your adventures. You don’t realize just how valuable those experiences are until you don’t have them anymore. Much respect! Keep up the great work.

The Father-Son bond is something to be cherished. My dad passed when I was in my 20's. Really shook me up. Now I am 71 and have 4 grown sons. They all live withing a few miles of me and I see them all the time. I'm hoping to live a long healthy life to enjoy their manhood like I'm sure your Dad did with you. Lost my Dad 19 years ago. Seeing this video today made it feel like it was yesterday and brought back a flood of memories of the things my Dad and I did together. He wasn't a mechanic or metal fabricator but did love to hunt, fish, prospect, travel the outdoors and loved to paint landscapes of our beautiful state of Utah. i have my dad's jeep too after he passed. It's really all I have left of him and every time I work on it and modify it it feels like I get to work on it with him in spirit. I think having something you can work on in spirit with someone you cared about keeps them alive in your heart much more than pictures on the wall.

I lost my dad when I was 23 years old. It's almost been 10 years and there is still not a day that I don't think about him. We were supposed to build my project car but cancer took him. I haven't been able to touch that car and almost 10 years. You continue what you and your dad started is really motivating me to dust the car off and start working on it. I get it, man. My channel was taking off the first year I had it up, posting weekly. I lost someone close on January 1st, 2021 and I carry a lot of guilt. I haven't been able to sit and edit another video together since. I'm coming up on a full year since my last post. I keep thinking I'll be ready to pick back up and continue, but your comment pretty much affirms what I've been afraid of - I can't imagine it getting better enough to do it again without him.

Paul when I was a young boy I remember standing by the casket of my grandpa. I looked up at my dad and thought that was my dad’s dad. It sure wasn’t easy for my dad. When my dad passed I found out how hard it is to loose your Dad. Paul you hang in there. He was and is proud of you looking down from heaven. Don’t forget to hug your mom. Your hugs will mean the world to her. All your stories will help those tears turn to smiles!

Grampa Sherm was one cool man. I loved what tiny little glimpse of his life we got to see through these videos. We was in the process of restoring his pride and joy. A 1960 military jeep. We took the body off then he died.
Couldn't look at it then I tried to work on it but I know nothing about 24v and couldn't get it to crank back up so it's still sitting here with the body off.

Listening to you explain the story of that truck, where it came from, and how you and your Dad and brothers beat it, tore it apart and rebuilt it over and over, made me shed a tear. I never got the joy of experiencing this with my father. He passed way too early at 63. This was well before I had the resources to be able to work on projects with him and my brother. I’ll be living vicariously through you and your adventures. You don’t realize just how valuable those experiences are until you don’t have them anymore. Much respect! Keep up the great work.

My deepest condolences Paul. I lost my grandfather a few years ago who raised me after my mom and dad split at 3. I can tell you, you wont ever stop crying. You will start thinking of all the wonderful memories and never stop missing them. It does get easier but never goes away. I wish you all the best. Allow yourself time to cope and grieve.

They all live withing a few miles of me and I see them all the time. I'm hoping to live a long healthy life to enjoy their manhood like I'm sure your Dad did with you. Lost my Dad 19 years ago. Seeing this video today made it feel like it was yesterday and brought back a flood of memories of the things my Dad and I did together. He wasn't a mechanic or metal fabricator but did love to hunt, fish, prospect, travel the outdoors and loved to paint landscapes of our beautiful state of Utah. i have my dad's jeep too after he passed. It's really all I have left of him and every time I work on it and modify it it feels like I get to work on it with him in spirit. I think having something you can work on in spirit with someone you cared about keeps them alive in your heart much more than pictures on the wall.

Sorry for your loss, I lost my Dad a few years ago too. Having his truck is a good way of keeping a memory of him alive. And I'm sure he's right there with you whenever you're working on the truck, or out driving her. Let your kids know how important that truck is to your family and that will go a long way to keeping his memory alive as well.

I lost my dad when I was 23 years old. It's almost been 10 years and there is still not a day that I don't think about him. We were supposed to build my project car but cancer took him. I haven't been able to touch that car and almost 10 years. You continue what you and your dad started is really motivating me to dust the car off and start working on it. I get it, man. My channel was taking off the first year I had it up, posting weekly. I lost someone close on January 1st, 2021 and I carry a lot of guilt. I haven't been able to sit and edit another video together since. I'm coming up on a full year since my last post. I keep thinking I'll be ready to pick back up and continue, but your comment pretty much affirms what I've been afraid of - I can't imagine it getting better enough to do it again without him.
