I was hoping to see the backflip and I did! Great video.!
Damn, their stage presence is so amazing I want to see them live so bad :c
Flawless, as always! =p
I was there! Great show!
External audio recorder either set up near him or hooked to the person running the board for the show!
I remember back in the All-Stars Tour last year, Luke was literally flooded with girls 2 sets before his, and he walked past me and I was completely in shock.
That's actually edited in afterwards, but yeah it looked sick, haha.
:59 luke holland has anyone ever told you , you are simply the epitome of insane skills
That's at the Nile!

Awesome video!
amazingggg!
Luke is such a beast!
saludos desde México
this is sweeeet. you guys sound gooood live.
Was the band playing to a click track, or the actual song? There's no the band could be perfectly in sync with the actual song without a click or background track. At least I think theres not :P
3:05.... luke hits the china so hard that the camera shakes. lol awesome
Sick!!!
Says zero, then someone decides to make you wrong.
They definitely did well here!

I swear Luke makes drumming look so easy.
Great and fun song to try and play on the drums. Them drums be melodic
grandma called. she wants her shirt back
awesome perfomance!
I'm really diggin' his shirt! I mean the drumming was great too! ;)
madness too
eh luke... i have a real quick question. How'd you become soo good at the stick flips?? was it loads of practice, natural talent, or was there just something you did as a kid that helped with learning. it's always just been on my mind and being a fellow drummer, i understand how fun it is and want to get better :P
Did you film more videos of Luke playing the songs of the show?
@Jeremy Tremp just out of curiosity, what camera did you use for Luke Holland's thriller video? Nice work on it
Thanks! Sony A7s with a Pix-e5 4k recorder.
Jeremy Tremp :D wow!!! I had a hunch it might be that!!! Its such a nice camera from what ive researched. Did you have to increase the shutter speed to avoid the sticks bending? I saw one time when they were bending due to the a7's rolling shutter, (or at least that's what I assume causes it).
+TheResonating so no matter how high your shutter speed you will always get some sort of rolling shutter when shooting from the side especially. A7s in full frame has some of the worst rolling shutter, but everything else is gorgeous! When shooting in crop mode it's a lot less noticeable. If I would have known everyone was going to crap their pants over bending sticks I would have shot in crop mode haha.
Jeremy Tremp oh I wasnt complaining, just was curious. It didn't really bother me. lol did other people complain?
+TheResonating dude every other comment is people asking why the sticks are bending lol.
AWESOME :)
everything is always practice
Agreed
nice job on filming this
their lives are the best imo
Does the sound get a bit messed up half way through the song for anyone? :c
I always wonder the same thing when I see him
His skills in the video
I TOO hate The Nile's crap lighting. That was an awesome show though!

next time get a better shot of telle's baclflip. i know hes not the drummer but come on, its a man flipping in the air. i've never seen a drummer do that.
He seems really pissed off
go on amercias got talent or sumthing :P trololololo
Ducktits.
I do not think The Word Alive is innovative enough to accommodate Lukes skills. This song was incredibly boring to watch him drum. Standard all across the board.
Luke didn't write the drum track for this album and also drummers are the backbone of any band or piece. There is a massive difference between the Lukes remixes and playing in a band; so you should see that there is a lack in chops and ruthless licks. Having said that I'm almost sure that Luke has written some tasty as heck licks and tricks for their new album for all of us to cream over.
Karl Folasa thanks for clearing that up!
tbh is a good song theres alot of feeling and love to it i believe Luke makes it that much more loving by puting so much emotion to it and also there a pretty good band to me maybe u should play some of there stuff to see how difficult it would be for u
This song is so much more meaningful and emotional
listen to his drumming on White lies by iss
OH. MY. GOD.
I'm so tired of hearing people bitch about Luke being too good for this band...let him play to whatever the fuck he wants to play to! What about Travis Barker? He's phenomenally talented and his main act is Blink 182 - who is far less technical than The Word Alive. He sounds good tho, right? And he's enjoying it and having fun. Let people play what they want to play to. Shaking my damn head.
Joshua Poitras tony royster jr too
Joshua Poitras I'm sorry but Travis Barker is not phenomenally talented...
Loading listen to the Fury of the Aquabats! Travis got CHOPS
***** I have no idea what I just listened to....
Loading one of the best ska punk albums ever. Red Sweater has amazing chops, check out that song
He hits those drums so fucking hard that you can feel every damn hit, it's incredible.
