- Today, July 24, ORPHAN was released in theaters 15 years ago! There's no words to explain the before and after that Orphan marked in my life, and in many others'. The first time that I watched the trailer of Orphan on TV I was instantly drawn to it. We kept talking about it until more promoting made Orphan appear EVERYWHERE.
There were even masks of Esther's face! That afternoon in the mall, I went running towards the Orphan's big lighted up poster, I was mesmerized.
I think I stared at it for over 15 minutes. I had so many questions and intrigue about that face that got stuck in my mind.
I knew Esther had a deep 'secret' and it had me guessing it at all times, yet, never ever I'd guess THAT SECRET.
The day that I finally watched Orphan for the first time, needs to have it's own chapter about it lol!
Never in my life, I've felt such magic, such mystery, such fun and such passion for something so uniquely special. Thank You ORPHAN, thank you Isabelle, thank you Jaume, Alex Mace, David McGodrick, the whole cast and the whole crew... for making possible this unique, special movie, that marked a before and after.
