Tae Kwon Do has long evolved far beyond a mere self-defense method. It is not only a sport, but also a trenchant way of maintaining physical fitness. But, it is above all an art form. I've always viewed TKD as an art, but I never knew that it was possible to integrate dance and singing into it. Fascinating!

you ever heard of ITF taekwondo?
it's made to survive in a battlefield.
its not a form of art, but a deadly human weapon

ITF or WTF, Tae Kwon Do is nowadays a sport and an art form with, perhaps, the derived benefits of acquiring physical fitness and, why not, self-defense skills. It remains, however, mainly a sport and an art, simply because on the battlefield, the dominant force gains preponderance based on its gun power, not precisely because of the superior physical abilities of its soldiers. Even in civilian life, unless a TKD expert can dodge bullets, a weaker, untrained man with a gun will have the upper hand.

lol i don't think this routine was put together for practical 'real-life self-defense application', but rather for demonstrating good form and technique

not that this awsome, but when would anyone have the time to do all that in a fight.

Punching someone with a right cross is awesome in a fight, but why would anyone go to a staged martial arts event to see somebody throwing a right cross or kicks to the balls? Use your brain

Its videos like this that makes me wish sometimes that I did japanese karate. They take martial arts way more seriously and dont add in stupid dancing and other bullshit.

because they don't know about amazing performance..and they can't do like this either..lol...f&** off

What matters is proving your "self defense art" works and is credible as a "MARTIAL ART" not a dance performance.
