Hi there,
I'm really impressed by your eloquence and the ease with which you speak. Could you share some insights into how you developed this skill? Is it a natural talent, or do you rely on some sort of preparation like jotting down key points before speaking? Do you script your talks and memorize them, or use aids like teleprompters? I aspire to reach a similar level of proficiency and would greatly appreciate any guidance or strategies you could share. Many thanks in advance for your help!
Warm regards,
Melchior

Thank you for thanking Sean, you are a special person to me, first time I have seen someone thanking, I wish you the best in all that you are doing, sincerely wallace
Thanks to think media, i have almost 140,000 subscribers
I have 900 now, but i'm looking forward to being able to say that
👏🏾👏🏾
That’s awesome, congratulations! 🎉🎉🎉
Awesome progress! I’ve been consistently uploading 5-6 videos/month since September. Just hit 417.
Mistakes to Avoid
1) Don't look at the monitor when presenting; make "eye contact" with the lens instead 0:46
2) Don't wait for the perfect time to start making videos; begin even before you feel ready 1:05
3) Avoid 'Gear Acquisition Syndrome'; use the equipment you already have to start honing your content creation skills first 1:30
4) Don't "wing it"; plan ahead to avoid wasting time later 2:13
5) Don't compare yourself to others; identify and build upon your own strengths and unique attributes instead 3:02
6) Don't make 'selfish content' (i.e videos only you will enjoy); instead bring value to the viewer 3:48
7) Don't use weak titles; title your videos so viewers will know what they are about to learn - AI can help you 4:31
8) Don't use weak thumbnails (e.g. cluttered images; small, unreadable text); simple tools can help generate better thumbnails 5:22
9) Don't waste time at the start of the video; get to the point quickly to retain viewers 6:06
10) Don't make videos on an ad-hoc basis; create systems to produce consistent and uniform quality videos 6:58
11) Don't compromise your values/reputation/brand; think long-term instead 8:44
12) Avoid unrealistic expectations; appreciate the amount of patience, time, work, effort, learning and skill-building needed to succeed on RUclips 9:51
13) Don't cover too many topics on one channel; focus instead on proving the videos your viewers want/need 11:02
14) Don't try to figure everything out alone; learn from others who have already done it 12:33
15) Avoid inconsistency; upload videos consistently, maintain a consistent tone/message/quality/brand in your videos 13:43
16) Don't aim for numerous targets at the same time; focus on your strongest option and execute that first 15:38
17) Don't give up too soon; watch Seán's next video 17:02
Why do this
@@GreggAdventureWriting it down helps me retain what I have learned in the video. As I already am doing it for myself, I thought I might as well share it, in case it could be of use to someone else.
Sean is the GOAT 🐐
Find your passion define who your channel is for and press record! Be consistent and ASQ ❤
Great video. Starting and growing your channel is definitely the toughest part, but the thing is that you need to give viewers the content they want to see, the content they can't live without. Same like business owners give people products they need in their life. Also you have to stay hard working and consistent (and you should also use a little bit of Famester to make everything a lot easier. For me, it feels like I am in control of everything and I don't need to worry about algorithms anymore). Good luck to everybody.
My takeaway? For starters: many thanks for sharing your experience. I am preparing to launch a new channel with value driven, customer-focused content from a very successful history in both the Music & Entertainment and Corporate world. Much of what you share here resonates as it reflects on my experience working in 4 Fortune 500 companies as well as the inner-circle in the LA Music Industry. You are so spot-on. Very grateful for you and your focused channel.
Off topic, but this is the best videography, lighting, set design, audio and production value I've seen on a Think video - as a long time subscriber. Kudos to the team. The fact that you pulled this off with no B-roll or graphics and kept it retention-worthy is the proof.
Biggest takeaway: Sean always motivate me with fresh ideas and encouragement whenever I want to give up as the monetization amount I get from youtube is very minimal cts😢
After 8 years on RUclips I've seen channels explode in the time it would have taken me to upload five videos. Most of the time these channels are in a special niche. One is a wrestling channel the other covers true crime. Both of those are topics that I don't really cover or know much about. My full-time job and side business cuts my ability to make content down. Which also affects how much I improve and grow. Thanks for the video Sean
I've made so many of these mistakes! For years I was making content without thinking about an audience. I started RUclips as a video blog, literally just documenting like a journal. Now, thanks to learning from you, I try to focus on my target audience and what content would help them.
Great video, thank you Sean, your program is directly responsible for my channel growth and almost 10,000 subscribers.
Thanks Sean! Listening to this at work right now and im taking down notes 😂 will try and implement the tips you’ve provided!
You're welcome!
Sometimes these videos don’t necessarily teach me a ton of new things because I’ve watched a lot of different content, but just reaffirm that I’m on the right track. Sometimes you just need a reminder to keep going and it’s a marathon and not a sprint. Gone from 0-1650 subs in 5 months of consistent posting. No massive spikes just steady growth each month and that’s not exciting but it’s realistic, especially in a niche subject.
Thank you Sean! You not only give a fantastic advice but also a huge motivator, I replay your videos in the morning for a boost of confidence 🎉THANK YOU
Pure GOLD information and advice! I found this very inspiring to keepvpressing forward and build my channel "brick by brick" like you said and keep grinding!
This video is AMAZING. Thank you Sean! I start planning with my team for our first video in 7 years today and this MASSIVELY helps motivate me and I’m sure the rest of my team as I’ve shared the link. Brilliant!
The original quote that book stole from is actually, "We don't rise to the occasion, we fall to our training." which is American military doctrine
The biggest takeaway from this video is that you are good! Thank you for so many helpful tips!! My main channel is still your Mistake 16. I'm going to focus!! Thank you, Sean!
Biggest Take-Away here was the word "Thread" ... That validates my ideas of bringing different topics to my videos as long as they relate (Has a Common Tread) to "Latinos Over 40" (or anyone over 40).... Hobbies, Gardining, Kids toys for the Grandkids, Travel tips for us older folks, Exercising for the "not so young" person ... etc ... Gracias Amigos ... great video !!!
I’m working on my shoe 👠 business right now. Don’t have time for my RUclips channel, but when I get time I will make it happen!
NUMBER 5
Sean I appreciate everything you do bro. I’ve been working hard for years and watching you reminds me not to give up 🙌🙌
Biggest mistake people make is trying to imitate big tv show style channels,
And forgetting the "you" in RUclips, i rather watch an amateur with passion, than a paid presenter without,
Alot of RUclipsrs go from hobby to job to chore to burnout
I try to keep my peripheral vision on my competition and my focus on my systems, subject and growth
Great topic, audience is important, informative content, Directors can also make mistakes going over schedule and budget.
Great information! To all creators, keep pushing through and putting out your best content!
Thank you for this! RUclips definitely has a learning curve.
Glad it was helpful Patrick. Appreciate you!
My daddy and I are working on the systems for my RUclips channel 😊
All good stuff!! Thanks Sean
Your freaking inspiration is something Sean
Your Studio-Setup and lighting in this Video is fantastic! 🥰
Always so many solid points to focus on! Thank you for the video!
Yep, i don't have a channel but i still watch you, i can flip ,keep watching maybe i will ,you are inspiring to see ,trying to figure things out on.my own, your words God bless you
No. 5 hit hard. Like you're talking straight at my face🙄🙄
Great information !
Thank you!
Welcome!
That is my favorite Sean line. Start poop your pants scared 😱 Absolute GOLD.
💩🤣
Solid... Encouraging truth... Blessing Sean!!!!!!!
Thank you 🙏🏾
Great tips! Don't wait until you're "good enough" to start. Just start, and you'll get better with time. Keep up the good work everyone!
Thank you. Gold content. Stay on your own lane. Sisonke.
I was waiting until I was ready for years too but, I took the leap and it has been rough but December 7th will be 2 months since I started.
Thanks for the tips! I have a gaming youtube channel. When you mention consistently would you recommend keeping to one game or do you think it's okay to change to multiple? Thanks
This is so good!! Thank you Sean
This was valuable information, thank you!
@ThinkMediaPodcast I agree with every point you said especially about upload what your audience came to your channel for. I have lots of different things I’m into that I may make videos for like this channel is for my welding audience. I have a house I’m renting to own that I will be fixing up while I rent it that will be it’s own channel, but may have some crossover stuff with this channel on some of the thing I make. Whil another hobby and something I’m into purely as a hobby(maybe that isn’t the word for it) is 3d printing (something I feel everyone should learn how to do) and there will be things that get printed for the house my welding channel needs some things sometimes that are printed. And I think I may end up with 3-4 channels in the end as I build up that though they are separate I can do some cross over without diluting my channels with content the viewers aren’t coming there for but might be interested in after seeing what the other may offer. That being said my kind of content isn’t something that will be weekly on more than one or two of them.
Thanks for sharing this video Sean and the information so I and other creator’s don't make these mistakes.
Always loved ur vids and info. Your channel help me break thru, but i stop during covid and never really got going again. Now im back but im stuck because so much has changed, but my channel somehow survived my absence. Road to 10k subs
Long time fan, first time commenter, this is exactly what I needed today.
"RUclips is a marathon and not a sprint."
I should always keep this in mind. 🤞🏽 🙏🏽 😅
Sean you're the best!!!!!!
Almost done moving then starting up my YT channel. It is going to cover sewing, quilting, and crochet. Hence the name of my channel Lyra's Stitchery.
I want to post videos three times a month. So, I have a sewing, crochet, and quilting video each month.
Think Media helped my channel reach 1.7 subscribers! I just uploaded a video about how I hit that number and shouted out think media with a thank you. I still have a lot of ways I can improve including looking at the lense! 🤦🏻♀️ but I’m happy that I’ve come this far. Thank you!
What do you think of upgrading some older videos and reposting them. Should you delete the old video once you up grade it.
Amazing information, thank you.....
I’m happy I stop to look at this
This video is sooo good!
Thanks for sharing it. It’s helpful to understand all mistakes and be focus on what we want to achieve. But there need to be something else that I can’t understand. I’ve already post my next video and right know I have a situation that my 5th video in a row has 0 impressions. It means that YT is not showing to anyone. Before that I had 3-7k of impressions. Do you know what kind of mistake I did?
Wonderful ❤
Amazing tips ✨
Very Informative.
So far some of the advice I received from this channel has been nothing but great & has allowed me to grow up to 247 subscribers! In a 2-3 month span! Thanks think media!
Such a grt vid and I liked how I see your shorts from this vid across youtube❤❤❤
Please add chapters
I almost feel like cute little intros don’t matter. When i watch YT videos they all open atleast 10 seconds after the start of the video and i have to rewind to the beginning.
Very interesting content. Number 11 hit hard
Thanks for the video. I started this channel one month ago coz i love the topic of quizzes. Im using Ai to build it and im learning a lot of stuff to help with the channel. Ur videos are motivating for me and honest not like all the gurus who sold the quick rich idea keep the good work. 😘
Hello 🎉 Sean , recently purchased your book 📚 RUclips Secrets.
Thank you for mind-blowing book.

👍
#18: "In THIS video"
💕💕💕💕
My RUclips thumbnails and titles are weak indeed
I am going to be honest. You wore a Yankees hat. Red Sox fan out...
✌️ appreciate you
How many ppl just nodding their heads like…. Yeeeeep, that’s me 🙋🙋♀️🙋♂️🫠🫥
I think the worst mistake in having a long boring introduction that has nothing to do with the title of the video.
I see this even with profession youtubers.
I think you have to make some selfish content at times but it likely wont grow. Some of it should be for you, thats being creative for yourself and your personality at the core.
🔔🔔🔔
okay so G*A*S is about what you don't need, Well when I Started 7 Years ago My Audio was Terrible and My Lighting was Crap because I was using a Laptop Cam for my vids, Now I have a 1080 [FHD] Cam with a Shotgun Mic, Now I look and Sound Better than I did with me Shouting at My Computer and using a 360p Laptop Cam. I'm getting Serious Mark Gordon vibes with that Yankees hat Sean, to anyone who doesn't understand that Reference, Mark Gordon was Victor French's Final Character before he died, He was working on Highway to heaven with Michael Landon when He Died, And yes They were on Little House on The Prairie. I'm Probably Guilty of Mistake 14, But if I don't Figure it out, who will? Benji Travis? Yeah sure he lives close by but we're in Two different Cities, And we Never Met, So here I am Flying Blind on a Skype Cycle, Because there isn't enough Data. Maybe it's just My Device but You started getting Choppy at the end there Sean.
Is it just me or is this video repeating the same thing
ADHD joined the chat
The beard and gray make you look 50
Watching this because my angel number 🤍 1717 😂
