The Phillies use to spring train at Jack Russell stadium about 4 miles west of where they play now. I use to live right beside the new stadium off of Coachman road.

Hi Adam, this is more for Captain but BayCare Ballpark is the Phillies' third Clearwater spring training home. It opened in 2004. The team moved to Clearwater in 1947. They trained and played home games at Clearwater Athletic Field from 1947 to 1954. The City of Clearwater opened a new ballpark for spring training in 1955 and named it Jack Russell Stadium.
I was at the game and wondered if you guys were there. Never saw you or I would have said hello. And the game on Friday was played. Happened to be a break in the rain during game time. Phillies lost that one after blowing a three run lead in the top of the ninth. It's bad when one of your primary closing pitchers gives up two home runs and a couple of hits to the guys on the Rays with no names on the back of their shirts! And al three outs in that inning we well hit balls that just didn't find the gaps. I see trouble in the bullpen!
