    Pander= The most subtly disturbing video game character of all time. For the rest of the game you get all of these colorful characters and cutesy music and then it's like David Lynch hijacked the game development and threw this freak in there. Awesome stuff.

      @@jeremyriley1238 I don’t even get that. Enix developed it, and though dance rhythm ain’t really the type of genre Square, now Square-Enix (SquareSoft back then) is known for. What possible issues could they have?

    • @raffyguevarra7777

      @@DaveGX really? Guessing you simply don't know much about this. It's never that simple when it comes to property rights of things if this nature. A LOT OF STUFF comes to mind. It really depends on how the development on the game was done. Did the music used in the game have different composers and singers per song? Or were they composed by someone directly under square? If they are from composers and singers not under Square, what does the contract say? Are they free to use them anytime for life? Or are they exclusively for the one-time use of the game only? If it's one-time only, then it's possible that the original singers or composers or whoever have full credits to the songs are not allowing them to be reused for a possible remake. How about the characters? There's always the possibility that Square does not have full ownership of them as well. It's possible they hired an outsider designer for them and only has authorization to use them on that one game. Again, these are all just possibilities. All in the realm of game dev. Seriously, you don't have to think that hard to think of possible reasons. Look at how Spider-man had problems with joining the MCU before just because Sony owns the rights to the character despite being founded and designed by not Sony (I used not Sony to get my point across).

    • @DaveGX
      @DaveGX Год назад

      @@raffyguevarra7777 It shouldn’t matter. Anyone that ALLOWED them to use the songs all that stuff to BRGON with AUTOMATICALLY pretty much gives them the rights to use it REGARDLESS of it’s to be a rerelease. Bust-A-Groove 1 and 2 were only ever on PlayStation, bo DLC. Nothing “think” at all.😒
      $ony and the Spider-Man thing are an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT matter than all the ridiculous excuses you’re making/looking for. Why would an outsider design the characters? That’s just stupid.

    I can definitely see why the endings were cut. The jokes James makes are very crass and a lot of the origins of these characters definitely are questionable. Had this been given the Teen rating I would have thought that maybe these endings could have gotten in with no problem.

      And yet there were other games with no censorship in America and Europe like Bad Fur Day with a cute little squirrel that had animals dying, exploding, poo, gore and blood all over the place and they were sold all over the place with no problem, just because of a rating. I agree, this should have had a higher rating and kept the endings.

      @@andylatino Well, Bust-A-Groove was prone to censorship in more than just the second game's endings needed removed (the first game had to edit a character to avoid being accused of having racist stereotypes, and Strike in the first game had to have his flask changed into a soda can).
      Plus, America back in 1990's had different cultural standards (Kitty N's ending had a scene where she found the instructor she loved was in a gay relationship, something that back in the era this game was released in, was basically taboo in America).

      There's also the 11-year-old boy that is in love with his teacher. Granted, it looks like she's behaving like a teacher should be, but it may have been they felt uncomfortable with the story of an 11-year-old aiming for that - wanting to wait until he's 18 to marry her.

    Funny how these stories are very sexual and Dark, but the stories for twisted metal 3 were childish and innocent. no wonder this game did poorly just like Twisted metal 3. They don't understand the heart of what they are making. 989 Studios XD To be honest Bust a Groove looks better in every way graphics, character, music, effects, Camera Angles, and it was innocent and silly. Where is Frida? She was in the poster of the first one and all the promotional materials with heat, but here she was removed and replaced by 5 year old perverted kid. Kitty N looks like a robot with that outfit.

      @@jeremyriley1238 You know what would have worked better for Gas O. If you really wanted to have a zombie as a character why don't just turn gas O into a zombie. The story would have fit his character better. lets say Gas O goes to a nuclear plant or laboratory and he finds a chemical there that is labeled Dangerous Bio_materials or something and because of his love for chemicals he pushes to far and plugs his hose into the barrel. He turns into a zombie and now we have Zombie Gas O instead of a violent story of him killing his own father. And what kind of father grabs an axe to beat his kid. Total garbage.
