My mom somehow manage to get me Bust a Groove 2 for this Christmas and we've been playing Nonstop trying to get too Pander, just like we used too when I was a kid,The Nostalgia is powerful with this game!

Severe nostalgia for those weird Japanese PS1 games that filtered onto American shelves. Fascinated me as a kid. Pander terrified me for some reason. Picked it up decades later and just laughed the whole time. Then I got really good at it. Then I forgot about it again. Then I looked it up on RUclips just now.
Maybe it's just me and maybe it's because I am used to the English version of the game, but I don't like the Japanese versions of the songs. Even Comet's song had a Japanese woman singing in English and it sounded bad to me. Every time a stage popped that I liked and the Japanese song played I'd go "Awww..." I know a lot of people prefer the Japanese track. I'm probably the weird one. Either way, good video. It was cool to see the differences in this version, like endings.
I didn't know there are stories behind the characters in Japanese version. I played Eu-version (localized to Russian, maybe they stripped some data), there were credits right after winning the Robo-Z / Pander.

I still say that the first game had much better songs than the second. The songs in BAG2 are much cheesier IMO. Not all, but quite a few. Still a classic game though.

The american version didn't have the game show ending, i beat it with every character, and the game would have been that much better had there been some back story on each character

I don’t know if Retroarch uses PCSX ReArmed, but it’s awesome to see the game like this with no music to graphic lag. I still wish I was able to play on my PS3 without issues. Emulation is the next best thing.
@@andersonocardoso2524 i’ll give it a go for sure! I also just got an android based retro portable console that has quite good performance for PS1. (Through Retroarch) i’ll have to see if some specifc settings will make BAG2 sing on that device 😊 Thanks for the recommendation!
