I really liked the video but would have wanted to see more on how to control the visibility and graphics overrides for phasing. Also, how to use the same settings and apply them to all sections.
Another Great tutorial! Thank you! I have noticed at the beginning of the video how the terrain is going all around the walls etc- just the way it should be but I have no idea how it works. If you have any videos about this please share :) With Best Regards, Eva
I am using the building pad tool at the lower floor elevation to accomplish that. Watch this tutorial of it for a demo: ruclips.net/video/stsj5XRIPLo/видео.htmlm25s
I'm new to revit and i realy want to learn it, I can draw a floorplan but i need aome help on section how do you put the foundation onder the ground? Like 1 meter then the concrete footing around
Hey, I tried making a section like this & when i exported to jpg or png the linework is very thick. I tried to scale the view port very high, set anti-aliasing and overirde the linework to be thin but the problem stilll happens... What can i do??
tNice tutorialngs work. I do read so stuff in the manual but there is a lot, or I try to find tNice tutorialngs on youtube. So more help will be appreciated.
I totally understand. I converted over to video courses even at the colleges because it is best learned through demonstrating each action for many people.
Thanks for the awesome video. But I have a few important questions. How do you render in different visual styles i.e. hidden line? Also, I noticed that you final product is a PDF file, so how did you export from revit to PDF in hidden line style? for some reason, I don't have adobe PDF as an option when I go to export or print in revit.
If you render in the Autodesk cloud or on your desktop, then true rendering will use the graphic settings for realistic because it uses the materials setting. If you want another graphic look, then just print it to PDF. I personally use the Adobe PDF because it is included in my Adobe Creative Cloud package, however, I recommend downloading CutePDF Writer or PDF 995 as free printer drivers which both work with Revit. After you download the PDF drivers, it will show up on your print menu. Hope this helps!
LOL... It is ok. Best part about learning at your own pace! Just never be intimidated! I'm going to open up to community based learning experience. Stay tune for the details if interested.
My structure is at an angle so my cameras view is tilted causing the section box to be difficult to adjust. Any suggestions on what I could do about this?
Once you select the border of the perspective view...There should be a button labeled size crop in the contextual ribbon on the right. Then re-size the perspective view.
+Jason Lloyd I added topography to this project. There is a tutorial in my coming course for it as well. Tell me you're interested in the video course coming very soon!
I did this but when I moved the section box for getting the view it doesn’t show me a perspective and it’s just blank ( there’s furniture inside ) . Wherever the section box cuts it’s a blank surface .
Yes, I did! And yes, adding phasing in this video would make it way more informative. It's a feature that many don't know about. Even the ones' involved in renovation of spaces.
but had absolutely no problems to follow Nice tutorials words. You don't have to understand all of tNice tutorials in 10 seconds, just take one step, stop the
This is an incredible video of teaching. I have never used camera before combine with the section box. Thank you.

Hi as it is a 3D view you should also be able to render this right??
Absolutely! You can render it in the cloud or on the desktop version of Revit. I will demonstrate in the future as well. Thanks for watching
My brain exploded like Nagasaki but i slowly understood the whole video the more i watched it

Nevermind figured it out :)
thanks you , but when i ve drag the Sectional Perspective View in the Sheet section it appear small on the Title Block :/
+MrNoeldario Change the scale of the view on the sheet.
+SmarterArchitect Hi, i also got the same problem. Isnt only 2D drawing able to change the scale?
Great !
how do you make the perspective bigger, I tried to follow your video and it's coming out very nice, but it's very small. :(
Once you select the border of the perspective view...There should be a button labeled size crop in the contextual ribbon on the right. Then re-size the perspective view.
How did you do the ground? Thanks
+Jason Lloyd I added topography to this project. There is a tutorial in my coming course for it as well. Tell me you're interested in the video course coming very soon!
You sound like Denzel Washington. MY Man!
LOL. If I could only act like him, this channel would have more movies on it.
I did this but when I moved the section box for getting the view it doesn’t show me a perspective and it’s just blank ( there’s furniture inside ) . Wherever the section box cuts it’s a blank surface .
Sounds like you may need to adjust the depth of the section box
Thanks a lot! I had been looking for this. Next stop: how to use phasing in Revit.
Cool...I'll have to add phasing to the content here as well. I'm using it right now in several renovation projects in Revit. Hope you subscribed.
Yes, I did!
