Hi man! After watching the video, in my opinion the S62 is very good for home surveillance, if you hear any strange noise outside you can see if someone is hiding in the dark or in the bushes. The S62 is obviously not for professional use, but I find it perfect for searching the perimeter of your home. Excellent video and thank you.
before i saw this video i was between cat s61 and cat s62 pro tbh you made me order s62 pro because of this new lepton 3.5'' sensor alone since i work on phones (fixing them in huge facility from IOS to android) i see this as an good and reliable tool because finding shorted components on motherboards can be bit hard sometimes (usually i sprayed whole motherboard with air duster can till it froze and then powered them up for finding the shorted component) and the review is very good! The folks @ CAT (Bullitt Group) made a very good decision on using the latest Flir lepton 3.5 thermal sensor in the Cat S62 which gives the phone a huge leap when compared with previous CAT thermal phone generations or competitors.
I have read many reviews of the CAT S60 and S61 and they said they had a lot of problems with the operating system, a lot of BUGS. In your experience with the S62, how would you describe how it works?
I loaded the phone with all my apps installed on my Samsung Note 10 plus, total of 422 apps. some of these apps are technical apps and need lots of memory to run. I never had issues or glitches running any apps or services on the phone.
Hello . what distance? I have an s61 cat and I can't see that well. has a small range. I am surprised by the difference between one model and the other.
this test was done on 30 - 60 meters, the s61 has an older flir sensor while s62 pro utilize the latest lepton3 sensor from flir that is why the range deference.
Do the market has google smartphone with thermal plus remote control with Thermal function, so I can wear it all the time to use thermal every day without Taking it off ?????
Good review thinks, but I have both cat s62 Pro and bv9900 pro and when I compare them in total dark I thinks bv9900 pro is better and can detect hot object far than cat s62??
Have you tried to make some light with an IR torch and see with the termal imaging of the cat? Because the FLIR Lepton 3.5 of the cat misures from 8 micro meters to 14 micro m , and usually IR LED goes on 850-950nano m, so I think it's not possible... :( anyway it's seem cool. Currently there are 2 makes of thermal camera phones on the market. the black view phones and Cat phones, Cat pioneered the thermal camera phones and was the first company to do so with the cat s60, then the cat s61, the latest is the cat s62 pro which offers exclusive use of the latest lipton sensor made by Flir. Hello, I just bought the phone, I suffer from a lot of noise when I use thermal imaging at night with the filters you showed, are there certain settings that make the photography good and not have any noise just like your video? Thank you
the setting is MSX and the either of the following pallets Night (green filter), Black hot, White Hot. the image noise can be as result of cold wind brushing on the thermal sensor.
@@Adams2Cents thank you man I see trees and cars in the night filters but with some noise and distortion This happens in complete darkness but clarity is good with the presence of light even if it is little, do you use any temperature adjustment settings? Or is this the company's settings without modification?
The video was made with normal settings, to get a good image in total darkness in doors try to move the phone slowly. when outdoors cold wind brushing on the sensor will make the image pixilated. let me know if that can help.

The Cat S62 is rugged phone and built to take more abuse than regular phones. the battery life is very good, I have to charge my Samsung phone at least twice a day while the cat phone once every 2 days. So over all it is a good phone to buy.

I had three s60 for 4 years and never had an issue. I've had three s62 pro for almost a year now and no issues either.
This is best thermal camera in smartphone better than cat s60 or s61 or bv9900 pro..... You agree with me ?

Haven't tried it in Fog, where I stay we are in summer now.
The thermal should work in fog as it does work with smoke.

How far or how meters can detect a hot thing in the dark? I thinks max 20 meters.
About 60 meters at night, not the best image but you will be able see movement.
It s better than the thermal camera of my blackview 9900 Pro.
