The YYZ pedal signal goes to one channel and then the bass signal DI’d but EQ’d from the Q-Strip to another channel. I know the pedal has the raw and distorted mix knob but this still works better for recording. For recording. Either way two Tech-21 pedals.

But more recently I got Tech 21's dp3x and SH1. Wow! This new Tech 21 stuff is by far the best sounding stuff they've created yet! As soon as Geddy Lee said he was in Jamaica, I immediately began thinking of the movie Half Baked... "SAMPSON SIMPSON!!! I STICK BY MY STORY!!! I BE GEDDY LEE, MON... besides... if I not be Geddy Lee... would I be wearing this Blue Jays shirt??? hmmm???" 😆😆😆😆
Tim is playing a Geddy Lee bass signature bass with rounds, through a box designed to condense Geddy's massive live rig into a desktop format, and using the appropriate heavy right-hand attack to get that sound. I don't see how any of that is "cheating", unless you want to buy 2x Avalon U-5s, 2x SansAmp RBIs, 2x Palmer Speaker Simulators, and 2x Orange AD200s. If that's the case, then can I have a loan?
All Tech 21 products are very intuitive as far as how it "interacts" with your playing style. Usually when I hand my bass to someone else it sounds entirely different, and that's the beauty of all analog...it reacts like a real amp and not a synthetic digital processor.
The band (YYNOT) is a Progressive Rock band that does some Rush covers really well. But, they write a lot of great original material too, so I think calling them JUST a Rush tribute band is selling them short.

@@birsay123 I play bass better than Gene Simmons and I don't even play bass
@@hayleycomet8029 C'mon man!? Gene's Clean as Paul says in his line in Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park movie. Geddy is better than Gene, lol!
Someone once wrote “Geddy could cut off 4 of his fingers and he’d still be a better bass player than Gene!”
Nice
❤
Yeh but are you getting that sound from the box or your playing technique ? arn't you just cheating to get Ged's sound ?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for the info and interview, made my day, always Geddy day and night since I have been playing bass ,1980, 🙂✌️🎛️🎸🎸🎸🎸😂😂
hey isnt this demo guy the same guy from that great rush tribute band with the cute chick singer?
The band (YYNOT) is a Progressive Rock band that does some Rush covers really well. But, they write a lot of great original material too, so I think calling them JUST a Rush tribute band is selling them short.
@@robertdendooven7258 ok, how would i know?
@@rockhard2654 You know now. Here is their RUclips Channel link:

Guilty as charged!
@@TimStarace There are some great Rush tribute bands but YYNOT's original songs elevate you from the others. Big fan.
Two down-to-earth dudes who just happen to be monsters in their respective fields, chatting about gear. What's not to like?
Geddy could run for King of North America and would get elected.
GARY LEE, er, I mean GEDDY!!!!!!!!!!
RUSH will Live Another Day...it's just a matter of time, There was a Rush before Neil Peart and there will be after...
Their music is too good to not be performed again by Geddy or Alex, looking forward to seeing what happens in the future...Stay Tuned..!!
Get serious man . Geddy and Alex are way too classy to do that .
Rush is and was my all time favorite band ..... but it ended with the last show in LA 8/1/15 which I was fortunate to witness ... thank god
I wish Mr Lee and Mr Lifeson all the best in whatever they choose to do , but you just can’t keep Rush going in anyway without Mr Peart
Alex just did an interview yesterday and basically confessed that they still aren't done grieving Neil. I can promise you that the name Rush is permanently retired.
thats not getty lee it Leon Trotsky

I would be the most annoying person ever if I was geddy lees grandson
I’ve lost my waffle...
