Mr. Jones , It was a pleasure to stumble across this video of your Summit Point laps. My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting you back in the late 80s or early 90s. We were camping at SP and walked down into the pit area. We struck up a conversation with you and you were kind enough to patronize a couple of novices answering all our questions and showing us a video of your lap that you had recorded with a large recorder bolted to your roll bar. Your kindness is still remembered all these years later. Thank you
Nice laps. This is one of my favorites tracks on iracing simulator. Maybe one day i will have the chance to drive on the real summit. Congrats for the video.
Thank you sir, it is a Birkin. Nice to see something pleasant for a change. I am an 80 year old senior citizen with more time in pit road than some of the sarcastic brats that post crap they would never say to your face. Cheers.......
Huh? I can't believe anyone would watch an old video and then have the balls to advise the driver on how to go faster. We are currently turning 1:22's. I think the most polite and mature thing to do would be to send me a personal email with your sage advice. I have probably been racing longer than you have been alive, but I can always use expert advice. By the way, who are you, what is your experience, and how much time do you have driving Summit Point?
You probably could gain at least 3 seconds if you used all the track available, lots of daylight between car and apex/track out that was not used. T5 apex is only one of 10 that was spot on and track out margins indicate more speed available. Beautiful handling car Caterham? capable of running 1.22's, and sequential trans?
your so true im sorry man , i must have had a shitty day when i replyed , im working as a fulltime race instructor all over europe besides that racing in touringcar series , and i have a few pointers for you in the super7 car , ill be skipping you a PM when i get back from Work today , if your 80 years "Young" im suddently more open hearted for sure..
Come on, be nice! I did not say it someone else did based on their impression. I'm sure you are the hero pro driver but comments like yours do not enhance your image. Leave the little guys alone............
Oh God, another armchair expert. Send me an email with your credentials and experience, then you have credibility. I easily turn 1:22's and that was before your advice but I do appreciate it anyway..........
