Then 5 years later Roland loses his record deal. Eats a bit of humble pie and reunites with Curt in 2004 to reform TFF. I think the experience changed him for the better.
10:15 It is funny, you see now how people from previous time periods, like the nineties, say how much better things were back then, before social media. But someone honest, like Roland, it can be clearly said that things were not. The social media was just done differently then. It wasn't as readily accessible to everyone as it is now, but people were still people.
Likely why Roland has no Social Media accounts to this day. Curt is on Twitter, but Roland is very private and keeps to himself. He still loves his fans and is sweet to them in public though.
@@JCHB322 Yeah, I didn't know anything about how they actually were, back then, I never saw these interviews or docs then about Tears for fears. If they did a song, sowing the seeds of love, or woman in chains. I just thought, he is this like new age positive person. I only read one interview then, around the time he made the first album without Curt, and it was in a guitar magazine, and though it indicated that he was not just a new age love and light person, he was thoughtful. But written words don't always represent sarcastic humor and honesty, or being able to tell them apart. I suspect that gives him more of a balance. Because I met love and light people that seem artificial, because they don't have that balance, so they don't really listen to you or can see you. I mean like, if some lady was doing shots of alcohol, which is what it sounded like he said, I wouldn't want anything to do with them either. I wouldn't see that as being cold, but she might. People get very fake emotional when they are drunk.

Not really to be social. I just like to do what I want, and put it out there. There is one Discord Music collab group that I take part in. But that was after going through dozens that I just didn't get along with. Many social groups are dysfunctional, while seeming to be positive.
Elemental is my favourite TFF album by far. Roland Orzabal is a living legend and a genius.
Came back to this in 2022. What a fantastic singer and songwriter Roland is .
