I lost my Beauty today, my sweet old 12-year-old pup today. She was the sweetest Dog you'd ever meet. I still remember when I was little and my Dad, me, and brothers went to pick her up. She was a rescue dog and was loved dearly by my family and me. I'm only 20, she is my fourth dog to pass, but she is my first dog to pass peacefully from old age. I was lying next to her earlier today, playing this song and crying. She'd lay her head by me to try to comfort me. Man, I hope God takes dogs home to Heaven!
I miss my boy Tucker.. he was 1 year and 3 months old and 90lbs … my first bird dog and first dog I trained myself… he was the best I’ve ever seen.. he chased doves across the road and gotten hit.. this was only 4 days ago.. I still ask god why… I loved him more than anything in this world.. the things I would do to have him back is unexplainable… I gave that dog my world to let one slip and a turn of my head gotten him taken from me… I got his ashes back today and I’m not sure how I can breath right now but hearing those sounds and having to pick my boy up off the road haunts me.. I miss you buddy
I thank God for Dogs! They become our best friends and are always glad to see us and are always there for us. I just wish He'd made them to live as long as most of us do! It's just to hard to lose them!!
I feel for you man, I had the hardest decision of my life today to say goodbye to my 9 year black labrador girl after a very short illness. This has hit me hard. Dogs don't ask for much but give 100% and you are everything to them. Today seems like a bad dream😢 They say time heals but today really sucked. Best wishes mate.
Just put my best friend down of 14 years! Best hunting partner I ever had! Never late in the mornings and never wanted to call it quits when the numbers were low. He lived for the retrieve till his last day. Before we took him to the vet I took his vest and when he seen it his tail went crazy even though the rest of his body was worn from the stroke his heart still beat for the hunt!
My father passed march 26 2022 he was my hero,best friend and teacher. I met a nice young lady who's golden retriever just had 13 puppies. So I picked out a male and I named him Ruger. He is the greatest thing in my life .thank God for dogs!!!
My dogs just been paralyzed from IVDD today and they said my only option is put him down or spend 12k on a surgery that has a less than 50 percent chance of helping walk again. We got him 2 weeks after my wife and I lost our baby to an ectopic pregnancy. He's almost 5 years old and I am really struggling with saying goodbye. Beers are flowing smooth tonight, cheers.
I'm so sorry. I just lost my Snoopy December 3rd to cancer. The same day a high school friend of mine from way back lost his dog to ivdd. It's one of the hardest things to live through, losing a pet. I'm assuming you had to put your puppy down. Five years is way too young. My boy was ten and a half and way too young. Prayers and Virtual hugs to you and your wife. 😢
Just lost mine to cancer 12 yrs that dog was always with me everywhere I went I don’t have kids so it was me and him when I found out it would be my last night with him I called my boss told him I’m not coming in it’s likely my last night with my dog and I’m pulling an all nighter tonight and staying by his side all night I set up a comforter on floor for us and I sat there with him the entire and all day till I had to bring him in it really sucks il never forget him I have several videos I put together of us and whenever I’m having a moment I watch my video an let the tears flow to get it out I don’t think we ever fully get over it 🎉we just learn to live with their absence and memories sorry about your loss 🇨🇦🍻 I’m a beer guy but that night I bought a bottle of rum cause I knew when it was gonna hit me it was gonna be a tough one at first and i didn’t want it to happen on our last night I stayed strong surprisingly for him and we had a nice chill last night together the crying started soon as I heard him take his last breath then I had to get out of there
@MoosemanMarky My 12 year old was just diagnosed with heart cancer 3 days ago, haven't slept since. Had to put his 17 year old dad down last month, and his brother died last week in my arms. Sucks having old pups!! Hope you're doing ok. Going to lose 4 dogs inside 6 months, as well as my dad and mom-in-law, on back to back days in October. 😖
All dogs provide such love and acceptance no matter what. Please remember always they are a life time commitment. They are just like kids. You do not get rid of your kids just because their loud, sloppy or obnoxious. Give them a home for life. They will reciprocate with love for life.

Lost my wife of 45 years after Thanksgiving in 2021. Our Sheltie named Addy just knew something was not right in the house after she was gone. That dog has been the biggest comforter to me. I can honestly say I wouldn't take a farm in Georgia for her. Dogs just know when something is not right and they are there to help. Just their love and companionship goes without question. Even when humans fail with their love and support. A DOG NEVER WILL.
I was so afraid of getting another dog after my Sammy passed away, he was just a little border terrier like Benji. I'm so thankful for that because now I have my Goliath, that young man taught me so much patience and my current dog and I are both better for it.i will always love you Sammy❤

Lost my boxer September 16 of this year. Had him since he 8 weeks old. He was 12 years old, he was there through all the houses. Two kids. Right under my feet the whole year I went through cancer. I had bone cancer in my skull and the day I came home from the 1st surgery he layed the bottom of his mouth on the surgery area and I literally watched him age 10 years in the span of 6 months after that. This was hard to type out while listening to the song.

Im blocked from a broken heart. I cant seem to put it together. So i thank you all as artists for writing songs about the loss of your companions. Im now 72 yrs old and wrote and recorded many songs and albums in my time and have traveled the country and outside the country with many bands. 5-5-23 I had to put my boy down. Very aggressive cancer. Hardest thing I have done was go to that. He 9 was 9 years old and I had him since 8 weeks old. Runt of his siblings. I miss him more than anything. Love ya Diesel. R.I.p. now.
Our 11.5 year old Lab Boxer mix wasn't moving and was down and feeling bad Tuesday. Wife and I carried her to the car got her to the vet. She has diabetes but we manage it well. Vet rans some blood work and an x ray showed a hematoma the size of a basketball which had mostly burst. Wouldn't know if it was cancerous until they had her opened up. We called 3 of our 4 adult kid's to the vet to probably say our goodbyes as we really didn't want to put her through surgery. Well 4 kid's and a son in law out voting us and she's recuperating well and we pick hrr up Friday. Dammit they're more than family!

My dog is being put down tomorrow. He's a jack Russell Cross terrior. And he would never bite anyone he was just a moody dog that loved the people who he lived with. Part of him being a terrior. Territorial of who he likes. He specialised me and my dad oit of all the people in my home. And that makes it so much sadder that he's going. I'm 20, and he's 15, I've had him since I was five. And I don't remember a day without him. I won't have a chewed up parcel again though haha. I'm gonna miss him so much

My Curly dog just passed away this morning. I'm heartbroken. He was a Raccoon and Bobcat hound. He would have been 14 this June. He turned 6 months old when I retired from the Marine Corps after 20 years. We hunted 300 nights a year for his 1st 3 years . He saved my life.

We just lost our 8 year old lab mix Zeus last Saturday and had to choose to help him cross the rainbow bridge. It was sudden and unexpected because the vet said he had fluid around the heart meaning cancer or heart failure and treatment if it even helped would have only given us 6 months Maybe. I lost My best Friend last Sunday, He was found laying in His house dead, He was a lab that I got in 2016, He loved to ride in the truck, loved to swim and fetch. I'm still unsure what happened to Him , He never showed signs of anything, He had some blood coming out His nose when I found Him . I've been told anything from a heart attack to a anyurism. All I hope is He died in His sleep and not suffered.

I am a musician and i write and play music. One thing thing happened to me when i lost my companions ;
I cant seem to write a song for them. Im blocked from a broken heart. I cant seem to put it together.
So i thank you all as artists for writing songs about the loss of your companions.
Im now 72 yrs old and wrote and recorded many songs and albums in my time and have traveled the country and outside the country with many bands. I feel now that my thoughts and writings have come to a stand still. I didn't realize this until i lost my two compaions that have helped me write many songs in this past decade. Im blank ,
so thanks that you artist are writing because I listen to your songs now and they have helped me to remember my buddies from the songs you have written. Thankyou again for helping me remember the happy years I've had. The more people Ive met through my life....
the more i loved my dogs. And all other animals.

God gave us grace thru the blood of Jesus The Christ. Then he gave us the dog to be our faithful companion. My boy is laying right next to me. There is nothing better, just pure love.

5-5-23 I had to put my boy down. Very aggressive cancer. Hardest thing I have done was go to that. He 9 was 9 years old and I had him since 8 weeks old. Runt of his siblings.
I miss him more than anything. Love ya Diesel. R.I.p. now.
Our 11.5 year old Lab Boxer mix wasn't moving and was down and feeling bad Tuesday.
Wife and I carried her to the car got her to the vet. She has diabetes but we manage it well.
Vet rans some blood work and an x ray showed a hematoma the size of a basketball which had mostly burst. Wouldn't know if it was cancerous until they had her opened up.
We called 3 of our 4 adult kid's to the vet to probably say our goodbyes as we really didn't want to put her through surgery.
Well 4 kid's and a son in law out voting us and she's recuperating well and we pick hrr up Friday.
Dammit they're more than family!

I had a best friend 🧡 @ boy do I miss her soooo 😢much till this day.😢It will be 2 yrs this February 28th ❤My BABYGIRL 🐕 is was her name 😢❤ my heart still 💔 but in memory of BABYGIRL I try to help stray dogs in my neighborhood this kind of helps the heartache 💔 but I know it also fills that empty void.I was able to be with BABYGIRL till she took her last breath. 😢😢❤for ever in my ❤️ 😢I feel your pain of losing your Best Friend 🐕🐶❤❤

My dog is being put down tomorrow. He's a jack Russell Cross terrior. And he would never bite anyone he was just a moody dog that loved the people who he lived with. Part of him being a terrior. Territorial of who he likes. He specialised me and my dad oit of all the people in my home. And that makes it so much sadder that he's going. I'm 20, and he's 15, I've had him since I was five. And I don't remember a day without him. I won't have a chewed up parcel again though haha. I'm gonna miss him so much
I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for my dog Willow, she was the best dog I've ever had or been around she saved my life more than once she could tell when my blood sugar was low or high an would wake me husband up when I passed out if not for her I wouldn't be here today, your missed daily Willow baby I love you girl ❤

My Curly dog just passed away this morning. I'm heartbroken. He was a Raccoon and Bobcat hound. He would have been 14 this June. He turned 6 months old when I retired from the Marine Corps after 20 years. We hunted 300 nights a year for his 1st 3 years . He saved my life.
Not much worse than losing a great hound, what a blessing to have had such a companion

We just lost our 8 year old lab mix Zeus last Saturday and had to choose to help him cross the rainbow bridge. It was sudden and unexpected because the vet said he had fluid around the heart meaning cancer or heart failure and treatment if it even helped would have only given us 6 months Maybe. We weren't ready to say goodbye and I miss him so much 😭💔

I lost my baby girl smudge she was a staff cross American bulldog so was something special we still got her best friend Elvis which is a staff he's living life without his best friend but keeping him happy for her is our main priority we lost her 19th February 2021 soon to be 2 year that's gone quick

I lost My best Friend last Sunday, He was found laying in His house dead, He was a lab that I got in 2016, He loved to ride in the truck, loved to swim and fetch. I'm still unsure what happened to Him , He never showed signs of anything, He had some blood coming out His nose when I found Him . I've been told anything from a heart attack to a anyurism. All I hope is He died in His sleep and not suffered.
