Hi Imran, did you notice your taxonomy was already including in your pod: IE you didn't need to add it as a relationship, and use the Post Terms dynamic to include the content?

Trust me. Invest and look ahead.

Just noted there's a feature missing in PODs, which are the custom location rules.. Unless I overlooked it, I just couldn't find it anywhere. Is there a native way in PODs to set the location rules of a group field to a specific page or there really isn't?

I'm using ACF, but now I stumbled into the need of both creating an options page and using the gallery field, which are paid in ACF and FREE in Pods. I already have some custom taxonomies and fields stablished with ACF, so I'll probably use pods only for the two features I need now. But in other scenarios, why wouldn't anyone stick to Pods only instead of ACF?

Just tried it out for a bit, and I can already tell that, for what I need at the moment and probably for most future projects, Pods should be enough (specially with conditional logic recently added). I see why ACF is more popular, aside from its extra functionalities, it also offers a waay more compeling, cleaner and pleasant user interface; ACF delivers an optimal efficiency UX. But nothing a bit of practice with Pods woudn't compensate that.. Well, can't say much more from my experience, but I'll start using Pods now to get a better idea. Anyways, thanks once more!

I was trying pods and hit a road block as i was trying to create repeater fields for Matches with fields such as Date, Team 1 Name, Team 1 Score, Team 2 Name, Team 2 Score, Venue etc.. I was able to group all the repeater under group name Match but then it showed all repeater fields in individual rows while i am looking for an option where i can have a tabular UI so that its easy to enter details also it show add button for each field while i want to have 1 Add button for group level repeaters. I am not sure if this is possible as Pods video for repeater by Pods channels have blocked comment. Just wondering if you had any such requirement or you can do a video for such requirement

Good explanation! I was learning from you today and I tried to do an example and I had a problem, in fact there is one important detail not covered. If there are line breaks or paragraphs in Pods field type Wysiwyg they won't appear with the correct format in Elementor. After trying to overcome this problem I realize I shouldn't choose in the Dynamic Tags the Pod Field option but the Shortcode instead. Then in the Settings I wrote [pods field ="field_name"] where field_name must be equal to what is written in its Pods Field, underscore included. Problem solved. I hope this help. Best from Portugal!

Hi Imran, I really enjoy your videos. I'm new to wordpress and they helped me on multiple occasions so far. Concerning pods: How can I make the custom taxonomies that are defined as a "relationship" individually linked and clickable like "tags" behave in the default wordpress way. There I can click on every individual tag which leads to the respective archive page. This seems not to be possible with pods which would be a major downside for me. I tried the "Link" toggle in Elementor Pro in the "Post Info Widget" but it had no effect. Is there an easy way to achieve this with pods?

I would like to use this method to create a “team members” container template, with image, city, date, age… and to show this info into a loop carousel.. just like the common team sections, with the possibility to add more players from the “pod” group… Is it possible? I managed to create the template but it would not show in the front end.

I guess my mistake was trying to pull the fields through and putting them into a container template, and then add the template into the loop. I am using it a lot and pods plugin works fine. The only thing I have been struggling is to create image galleries: I add the gallery widget in the template and select the pods gallery field, but when clicking the wrench, the “key” drop-down is empty.. is the gallery still available?

I managed to make the images appear only modifying the pods image field, from “any, with restriction to webp,mov,mp4” to “only images, webp,jpg..”. Now I can’t add video but I can see the images. Hi, what am i doing wrong in using Pods? It seems dynamic tags only work for me in theme builder>posts template. If i use in any normal page with any widget,it does not display anything... Let's say i add an image widget to a page, go do dynamic tags, scroll down to Pods, choose pods fields, then on the rench i select "Cover image" (this is the name of my custom field i created and added photo). Same with titles...add a heading, dynamic tags, select pods fields, on the rench i select my custom pod title field, and nothing is displayed. Like i said...it only works in theme builder > posts. :/
@@websquadron Well, in the end i used some post grid widgets from an Elementor plugin addon. Using the new flexbox and loop grid is quite "yuck" for me. Loops are great, don;t get me wrong, but new flexbox containers, i really can;t get used with it. I am too used with old sections.
While creating the video kindly keep in mind that you are using elementor pro. So please mention that in the video title so the viewers will not get confused, I have watched the previous video on ACF and this one also, after that I started to working and I get to know that these templates like single post are not available for free version.
Thanks but I always use Elementor Pro. I'll keep your comments in mind, but you should know by now that using Elementor Free does mean that you won't have all of the Templates available. It's always better to invest in the right tools.
Hi, I really need help with PODS as I have a post type and have "schools" as a taxonomy under this post type with around 500 schools. How do I neatly display all these terms in the taxonomy on the template field? Would really apprecaite any advice thank you!

Great and helpful video. The problem with Pods is that the WYSIWYG (Visual Editor) strips out important tags so all text is one block. Frustrating.
Have you found a work around for the missing ?

Pods is an underrated star. Still a great plugin to use.

Possibly but I'd have to do as part of 1-2-1 consultation before thinking it through

Interesting question, and it would depend on the carousel/posts being filtered by that date. I'll need to look deeper into that.

Are you pulling through the POD fields into the Loop Grid - for instance using Headings or Text Fields?

Unless the page has a loop built in, it won't work like that. So maybe add the Posts Widget and remove all content except the featured image.

Pods works fine with elementor pro and can be enhanced by using the ooo dynamic content plugin which brings more options with the tokens
