I know you said you don't really have a suggestion spot yet, but I was curious if you were working on an old book/library-like scent. I am having difficulty finding/blending one. That dry, pulp paper, just "old" scent.
Already purchased and made a couple candles with the new scents. I absolutely love the pier and it burns beautifully in 4627 with a premier 730. looking forward to future scents or any other products you decide to sell since the quality of everything I have purchased from you so far has been exceptional.

After ordering most of your scents, I am in love with them. Still in the testing phase with customers but so far so good. I did a blend (1/1) with your Velvet Brew and Leather. It smells amazing!! I call it The Vintage Book Nook. It gives that old antique library smell or the reading of an old book while drinking your morning cup of coffee.

Very excited to try some of these! Glad I watched this video. I checked your scents out last week and i have to admit, me being such a simpleton when it comes to scents, I was very intimidated by some of the names! I know that sounds crazy but I’m just starting to come out of my clean cotton, vanilla, apple comfort zone and try things like sea salt orchid (which was also intimidating to me!). This video put me somewhat at ease. I will definitely be buying in my next scent haul. Already have some in my cart! Prices seem reasonable. I cannot wait to try and of course to support your business as you’ve supported everyone’s out here by giving us so much info!

Starting out with 2oz is awesome. 1oz isn’t really enough for a good test. Candle or melts. Love it, can’t wait to try it.

I am wanting to make my own wax melts and seeing all different types of fragrance oils that I never thought about.

I am just starting out and am testing 11 candles right now (rule of two and one oddball). I did not use any FO in these as they are my very first candles, and my goal is to learn how different wicks perform with PB600 in 9oz. Straight sided jars. I get the wick-up and down thing now, so I think I am going to pour a test of four w/FO. Two with Bandit and Two with the Mob that I just ordered from BTB. Point is, Thanks for the 2oz. option. Been watching all of your vids since I started making right after getting a candle kit for Xmas. I instantly knew I found my future. All of your vids are awesome, and I have always been a bloopers fan. Have you thought of live streaming anything?

Hi …. I love watching your videos. I am not a candle/wax melt maker, I just enjoy fragrance. But what I want to know or ask is can I just purchase these oil and just use a wax melt warmer to burn the scent or that’s not safe to do. Thanks for help/advice in advance.
Please please try a dupe for Tim ford bitter peach!!! It’s so good and I think it would be amazing in your line. I use another brand version and it’s amazing but I just see it in your line. It’s like a dark sexy peach
It would be great if you had a Palo Santo and Sage that smells as natural as Makesy. Their version is great but quite expensive at $99.95 a pound. Look forward to trying out your scents for my luxury brand. 😊

Just curious- you mention branding and have always had a more classic image. With the naming of fragrances and being Black Tie Barn, it seems leaning more towards the lady’s branding. Is she a business partner now or why are so many names based on devil/spooky imagery and why allow someone who is not part of BTB to have so much influence over the names or agree on what to carry if it’s your business?
If she still has her business, let her market the fragrance for her audience on her site and you name it what you want for your site
Not at all. It just happened to be the scents we started with. And the fragrances we sell really nothing to do with my own brand of candles if that makes sense. These are for other makers and a new venture for Black Tie Barn. Nothing to do with my own candles. Black Tie Barn has changed over the years. Its a ton of education and supplies now not just my own candles if that makes sense. Only a handful are on the more ominous or darker ones. And honestly most of those were name suggestions by me... she just liked them too! I wouldnt name or use something that i didnt want. The images and color theme have always been my theme as well.
She's also heavily involved in BTB. We each have our own candle lines too and another in the works.

So excited for this! What type of wax have u tested with!? Never mind just got to the part of the video you said 50% soy. Is the other 50% paraffin?

I've got a few of these on the way and can't wait to try them out! I'm testing with 6006 and PB600 and staying in the 8-10% FO range. Would you suggest the same for these oils? I ask because I got some from Candle Cocoon and they suggest 5% max on theirs. Thanks Wade and keep up the great work!

When we purchase fragrances from your oil collection are we as resellers allowed to re-name to suit our branding esthetic which might vary from yours?..

Hi. Yes it is. Some oils pages have already been updated with the soap info. Many others in the works. Feel free to email about any specific ones that you are interested in and I'll see if we have testing results back abd just haven't been added to site yet. :)

Generally speaking yes. The ifra and msds documents do help more. Sharp we are going to have these tested in soap specifically as well for ricing, acceleration, discoloration and scent retention soon

Hello Wade, I just saw your video on making 500 charity candles. I saw the way you package and I see that you’re losing time and time is money. I’m a manufacturer of production train and had my own company and retire. If you like some tips on speeding up your production with the right equipment, which won’t cost you an arm and a leg, let me know. Example your tape dispensaries your filling of the wax is wrong for production. Please understand I’m not trying to criticize just inform you that making things one at a time is fine but production is a different story.There are many things you can do to improve your time which will equal more money, because time is money, in shipping and production filling, let me know if you’re interested. If not, keep on doing what you’re doing. It looks good but can be better.
