Hi Jordan, it seems more risky to cut the Barley and put it in win-rows to pickup because of rain. Was wondering why you cut part of your Barley and some you leave standing to Harvest that way? Wish you were more active in the comment section of your videos. I hope that you at least read each one.
It dries it out significantly faster as long as it doesn't rain on it! This year it did rain a lot so glad we didn't cut too much down. The edges tend to ripen slower so cutting those can help bring the whole field to being ready. Cutting helps if its really short barley as well to protect the combine headers!
