there's something about big bands giving some love to old songs that just warms my heart. it's not a hit, not a massive song, they didn't had to play it but they did anyway. nice gift
I think its about his hometown. I could be wrong though. They thought their hometown wasn't very open minded. They had to leave to London and such to really catch on The mayor then threw showbiz in the garbage at a public event . They eventually made amends Could be wrong but I believe that's the story
@@sootysootysooty late reply but this is definitely about their hometown and led to the mayor posing for the photo in the local newspaper where he is about to throw Showbiz (album) in the bin Also the lyrics - No one is gonna save this town

Damn you can hear the difference in his voice how he’s aged. But I still love this tone
I just love it with the piano 🥺

Irvzilla ive heard that story too, but i always felt that the lyrics were so much more personal/like they were directed AT someone specific too

His voice gets thicker, stronger, losing that fragility. Anyway there’s no point in judging this transformation, just accept it.
Muse is better in live
Not to be dramatic buuuut that was life altering
This song always makes me think of 9/11
