    Generally when setting up your loop points, you want to find what I think they refer to as a transient (don't know if it's the actual name). Basically a point in the wave form that hits zero. Probably would have to do a ton more zooming to find the best possible spots. Either way though, came out really well and thank you for making a tutorial that seemed somewhat simple to follow.

      Note that the transient is the loudest bit at the very beginning of the note/sound. Ideally, you want to set the loop point to be the zero crossing (zero volume) spot just before the transient!

      @@Cowboy-Ben-Alman hey, appreciate the correction here! I wasn’t sure of the exact terminology, so it’s good to get the accurate terms put in their right place.

    So good! Thank you for another super concise tutorial. One thing I discovered - instead of doing AUDITION + LOAD to get the RECORD pad to flash, you can directly do SHIFT + RECORD PAD, then SHIFT + RECORD PAD again to start recording. I find it easier than remembering AUDITION + LOAD, which is particularly unintuitive for me.

    Great clip but all I get is a static noise after trying an iPad with a synth sound I wanted & something off the Akai Pro Force - both ended up in static. Tried two different cables. I have the latest firmware so any advice would be great.

      No sadly but I've got enough sounds & presets I can easily install on the thing plus there is an editor free for it too which is great which I'll look at it later. Just annoyed my model doesn't work the way this demo does & I have the latest firmware!

    So you can sample only one note and all the notes will be generated from that one. I've tried it with my Bass Station 2 and it worked perfectly.
    The, I don't understand what is multisamples. I thought we would have to record each notes one by one, but it seems like we didn't have to. Why so? What is te difference with multisampling ?

    Do you ever download like stems or one shots? There’s tons of really great ones from Spitfire, Orange, Gosthack etc… to save time and moving around a bunch of equipment I’ll put a few into Koalla and play with them in that but withe Deluge I think just a usb flash drive would work fine.

  • @DominicJacksonFilm
    @DominicJacksonFilm 2 года назад +1

    damn why they made it so complicated to sample they could have just had one more mode button next to synth, kit, midi, cv, called sample and then it gets its own mode with the normal record button and functionality... actually now I am sampling I see why they did it so you can sample into the two engines either one hits for kits or pitched across keyboard like synth... hmm still kinda fiddly ! But expected considering this box does everything in a very small space! Amazing beast I tried them all mpc one, roland mc 707, novation circuit tracks, I felt they all lacked sorely in different areas. This is such an innovation they took all the best ideas from competing products that are working well and combined into the Deluge love it

    • @FreeBeat
      @FreeBeat  2 года назад

    Sampling is one of the Deluge's weak points, from a workflow perspective, in my opinion. As I think I've said before, it's a Jack of all trades but not necessarily a master of all of them.

    • @FreeBeat
      @FreeBeat  2 года назад +1

      @@FreeBeat Yes, not the best but it is still a beast of a machine and that is why I call myself David DeLuge - it's the device that I made my first releasable singles on and my real name (David Cooper) is an existing artist's name 🤣😂.
