Hi Adam, I actually planned some similar setup. I think it's a good idea to combine a) battery, b) active speaker, c) paddle and d) QMX in one unit as it increases the failure safety in the field. But on the other hand, I already own ready made battery boxes and active speakers. And for the paddle, I thought of mounting a Puttikeg or similar keyer on a leg / knee strap, so I can operate it slip free. I once keyed CW >30 WPM, but those days I've used a homebrew sensor paddle with no moving parts. Testing even top-notch finest mechanical paddles recently, I'm disappointed with the "delay" introduced by the mechanical movement of the contacts, even when it's very short in time. So I might revert to the sensor design.

can i use 12.4V on it? ( i do not know at what point saying 12 is the limit for these kits... most of 12v transformers give a bit more +0.4. Is it safe ? Thanks!

On AliExpress, look for „1PC 5.6M”.
