- A White Wisconsin dad is facing disorderly conduct charges have he stormed the stage during his daughter's graduation to keep her from shaking hands with the black
Superintendent.
The unnamed man rushed onto the stage before his daughter could shake hands with Baraboo Superintendent Rainey Briggs.
Briggs was on stage with other school officials, including School Board President Kevin Vodak and Principal Steve Considine; the man only confronted Superintendent Briggs.
This isn't the first controversial incident from this school district.

Well considering the daughter is a child who has had no choice in the matter all these years with such a father. I personally have compassion for both her and the black gentleman, but yes I suppose yes a bit more concern for the teen, she had less life experience and thus a much longer journey of healing is ahead compared to the superintendent who likely has built some level of resiliency and more healthy coping techniques being older.
I’m not going to lie my first thought was of my own daughter and how humiliating & damaging it would be if that was her. It’s her graduation which is huge for them at that age. Then of course my feelings turned to rage and also heartbreak for the superintendent 😢 how awful! wtf is wrong with people?? That poor guy omg 💔

That's easy to say on a RUclips comment. Most likely, you would have been in shock for several seconds before being able to _process or think_ about what was happening. This is clearly what happened with the superintendent. The fight or flight impulse takes over immediately after the shock of an occurrence. Not beforehand.

I understand the money may be good as a Superintendent but the country would have come out on that stage. i googled this. He was interviewed by a police officer in the same building. It was recorded. he said that he didn't want his daughter shaking his hand after "the sh*t she went through" because of the district. When the police asks if it was something the brother SPECIFICALLY did to her, he said it wasn't him specifically - just the district. If that's the case, he should've cleared out the whole stage.

I actually did a little research on this and discovered that the father and the superintendent may have had previous issues regarding disciplinary actions against her daughter. While what the man did was wrong, there was no indication that his actions were racially motivated. I had to research this to get a little more context because it didn't make sense for the father to shove the superintendent off stage simply because he was black.
