I know someone that was a participant on the final day of the summer term in 1993. He was the 2nd of 3 participant who actually got all 8 apples but couldnt get back to base on time. Philippa Forrester told him what he could have won, but misheard her response as "This is what you have won" and he went ecstatic in front of a confused Philippa Forrester! Philippa gave the star prize away (Gameboy)! It was hilarious TV!
I spent ages as a child calling up just after 8am to get on maggot moments. After weeks of trying I got through to speak to someone and had to say “North, South, East and West” and was then told to stay on the line, but never actually got on the show. I was gutted I never got to play. Never called again after that! ☹️
That trolly thing at 5:46 has something on it that looks very like the original BBC daytime slides from the 80s - the "notice board" lettering - presuambly still knocking about from those days!
Be funny if, when they asked "are you looking forward to playing?" they said "No this game is rubbish!" It's funny how this game is more primitive than most game you get on phones nowadays, and yet this got it's own tv spot back then.

I keep wondering if Matthew Smith is the same one who's soon to play the Eleventh Doctor. He'd have been 10 years old at this point, so it's possible!
she is such a lovely flirt...she was wonderful with the callers...made me smile..
I always used to ring up to try and play these phone-in games. I never once got through though- it was always engaged!

Yaayyyy!!! MAGGOT MOMENTS!!
vtx264, you're the greatest!
I can remember all that stuff, where they went round asking numerous people if it was them. I didn't think it was as far back as 1992 though!

This is from the 29th December 1992 as somebody uploaded the afternoon junction from that date and Phillipa Forrester was wearing the exact same top.
I so wanted to take part in that game as a kid.
Brilliant

I remember this!
I won a Sega Game Gear on this
Has anyone got the video of Gary Glitter playing this game?
Ahh another CBBC lovely.
I'd have kicked a tramps ass to get to, Phillipa.
