I hated it when you called Sexton not efficient. He averaged 24 on 48% shooting and 37% on threes and the fact that he's a 6'1 scorer made it look more impressive. People started making this narrative that he's inefficient but he's actually not. He's not a pushover on defense either, he tries. I still don't want to write him off as one of the best talents in this class. Edit: I looked it up, he's averaging 20 ppg for his career on 46% overall shooting. That's respectable man.
The next ten includes... Anfernee Simons Miles Bridges (legal troubles not withstanding) Collin Sexton Gary Trent Jr. Kevin Huerter Mitchell Robinson Jarred Vanderbilt Marvin Bagley Bruce Brown Devonte Graham Then the next 10 are plenty of solid role players who will be in the league for years to come including Diallo, Milton, Metu, Bamba, Melton, Okogie, Allen, Holiday, Brown Jr., and Wagner. What an incredible downright legendary Draft!!!!
I really like MPJ and I don't see Denver giving him up, but I'd like him on the Bulls too. JJJ definitely has some big potential. The fact that he's currently averaging over 3 blocks per game is crazy. Also that father-son duo of Luka and Booker on the Suns would be crazy
you've already had lauri but you gave up on him easily ..... the bulls probably is better right now if they keep lauri & wendell carter jr. as their frontcourt, but what i can expect,it's the chicago bulls, they do a lot of bullshit moves since the real 🐐 left .......😂🤣😂🤣-🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪 .....
Booker and Doncic, to say the least would have been interesting keeping in mind the latest stuff surrounding the two and the Phoenix Suns Game 7 and stuff.
They, and I mean scouts and front offices ,underestimated the cerebral aspect of Luka's play. Like most commenters here, especially delusional Queens and Suns fans, they let themselves be blinded by "potential" as opposed to actual pedigree. A Euroleague MVP will always be leagues better than studs coming from college.
The Suns, at the time, needs a center or power forward for their play-off run, they already had Booker and CP3 now they need a guy can rebound and stretch the floor and Ayton provides those skills. What I don't understand is the Kings' decision when drafting Barley, I never thought he can be that high in the draft, the Kings should have choose Doncic. Imagine the Kings with Doncic and Fox, they can be the most iconic duo in the modern NBA
You're clearly a casual as Choke Paul wasn't on the Suns at the time, they were a terrible team. Kings drafting Bagley is because they needed a big and wanted to partner Bagley with Fox. They already had Hield and Bogi as guards next to Fox. Had Joseph as the back up. They chose Bagley because of Fox was good and had a lot of potential as a rookie and wanted to build around him and if they would had drafted Luka, they had a plan to trade Fox for Porzingis which was on the table in the off season. Kings decided to build around Fox over drafting Luka. And I bet at the end of each players careers Fox will be ranked higher than Luka at the end of it. Fox finally have a team around him and his style fits more of a team basketball while Lukas is startinf to be clear that he is like Westbrick and Harden that gains a lot of stats but his style doesn't help his teammates get better and is too ball dominant. Bagley at the time we're warrant to be drafted as the 2nd pick as the more safe pick than the unknown Luka if his talents would translate. Bagley had a great college year and was seen to be aot more NBA ready than Luka. Plus add the fact that every high European player drafted has been busts. You're just using hindsight to not see how Bagley as a 2nd pick was justified at the time. Luka was also seen as more of a project pick than NBA ready. Bagley showed signs of a great player in his rookie season as he averages 15-8 and has flashes to become 20-10 kind of player. The problem was Bagley ended up always hurt to develop into anything good.
There plenty of mock draft has Luka as a 3rd. It was more of Luka vs Bagley for 2nd and a lot went with Bagley becaue of the history of top European league becoming a bust. Ayton was definitely a concencus 1st pick. Like you said the question on Luka was legitimate that that time. They didn't know how it would translate in the NBA, Bagley was seen the safer draft as shown what he did in college.
I would take Trae second. Other guys have size, defence and rebounding over him but none can run the offensive side of a team like Trae getting everyone involved.
@@And.One.Hoops1 Its actually not a mistake. The Suns don't make it to the finals without Ayton. Luka can't play with other dominant ball handlers and he's a turnstile on defense. Your comparison to Curry is also off Luka doesnt have elite handle or shooting. He just has high usage and padded stats. Hes basically doing what Harden was doing on the Rockets and that doesnt win championships.
@@MrJjreid The Curry comparison was to Trae Young, not Luka, not sure how you came to that. And any Suns fans is just straight in denial if they think Ayton was the better pick at #1 than Luka. You draft the best player available and figure it out later
@@And.One.Hoops1 yeah most delusional suns fans won't admit they made a big mistake not drafting Luka. Luka ang Booker could have become a dynamic dou and could have won a ring by now Instead they thought of a Kobe-Shaq 2.0 which did not last long as Ayton is already unplayable right now. Their 3rd backup center is playing than him . 😅😂😂
One of the best dratft classes ever.

Well, i got Brunson going after Luca!
The Hawks made the right decision with Trae, the problem was they missed with the draft pick with Cam Reddish who is a bust.

I would definitely take JJJ over ayton at 4
I probably would too now a couple months after making this video, just based on what we’ve seen from JJJ so far
Lol for real what’s he talking about
Anfernee Simons: has left the chat
Crazy to think Shai wasn’t even top 10
I bet you feel crazy saying Jalen Brunson had a lower ceiling then ayton
Anfernee should be there.
Agreed on Simons, he should absolutely be in the top 10.
Booker and Doncic, to say the least would have been interesting keeping in mind the latest stuff surrounding the two and the Phoenix Suns Game 7 and stuff.
If you made this video, today, brunson would be number 3. Wild
Maybe even higher!
I think you could make a case for Mitchell Robinson going top 10, but this is a really good list
He was right on the fringe for sure. If I redrafted the whole lottery, he would have gone 11-14 for sure
jaren jackson is wayyyyy better than ayton wtf
Is bridges going up on the board after the trade ?

Jarren Jackson Jr. is better than the overated De andre Ayton

It wasn’t really a legitimate question though, was it? Euroleague MVP and champion at 18, it certainly shouldn’t have been a question.
Only problem with last overall pick booker and luka hate each other
So ur predictions on brunson didnt age well. Wat do u think his ceiling is now?
Where does Bridges fit now?

Has this season changed your opinion?
Great content, subscribed!
Thanks! Appreciate it 🙏
We didn't draft Luka because we already had a SG and we needed a big man and Ayton had potential to become a 3 level scorer
I mean…..sure, but it was a mistake looking back now
@@And.One.Hoops1 for the time being I'm more sold on drafting Shai instead of Luka just because Shai and Book can both do the offball moving

miles bridges over mpj
Damn why the hornets in everyones highlights ?
How was Anfernee Simmons not in the e top 10
Mitch Robinson?
Brunson's better than young, which kinda makes it doubly funny.
if the Kings had any other GM but Vlade Divac they would have drafted Luca, Vlade the worst GM of all time
Bagley was drafted over luka bc of Lukas dad 😑
nah we still want JJJ at 4 gtfoh
Let’s gooo
I didn't know much but I knew Luka > Trae
Shai is and will be better than Luka, also winning more rings and accolades. He's a way better two way player.
😂😂😂
