@@tgnoat910 It's admittedly a kinda cheap form of an alternative playable character, just Crash but nerfed. There's part of me that wonders if Coco was unfinished in WOC. we know the game was rushed like crazy.
Oh my god... the game's logo is supposed to be the portal things you jump into at the end of the levels. And they're just completely axed from the final game, leading to an artifact logo. That completely blows my mind.
That would be because the game was rushed by Universal from what I heard, who wanted to make their own Crash game just to spite Naughty Dog for being rebellious bitches during the creation of the trilogy. Explains why all this stuff and more (MUCH more) was removed from the core game, which is a shame. The tornado generators being able to move around and Crash and Burn being extended by the islands would've been great to see.
@@neilbowes7214 I doubt that was the reason lol. Most likely they just wanted to play it safe since this was Crash's first time on the PS2. Its typical for corporate bigshots to demand quick release to meet quartal projections etc...pure greed.
I Like it 2:52 In The Wrath Of Cortex Trailer Aku-Aku was moving his mouth when he's talking but in the the Prototype He Reminds normal with exposing his teeth.
If I remember right, the long load times (on PS2, at least) were because there was supposed to be a load screen minigame where crash would float around and collect wumpa fruit. But it was cut last-minute due to Namco owning a patent on that, and load times were still longer by mistake. The greatest hits version fixes that
At 5:43 you can see a long trail of what looks like more level behind The hut. I believe this is the original extended beginning. I think the terrain from it still remained, but you still start ahead of it so you can’t see it. This must’ve been a build when they were still in the process of removing it. You also can’t see it in the final version so…
Press L1 L2 R1 R2 to activate cheats while in the pause menu after choosing options and you'll get some cheats. I tried this with keyboard doesnt work and but on controller does.
I might have liked this game as a kid but the loading screens were a major turn off. The first release of the ps2 version seemed to take FOREVER TO LOAD. The old games you left a level and you were immediatly back in the warp room. In this game if you left you would sit like a moron for like 2 mins hearing 🎶 woo woo woo woo weeeeeee woo woo woo woo weeeeeeeee 🎶 and crash falling. I just grew sick of it and played klonoa 2 instead.
That warp room is actually scary.
I wanna know who's dumb idea it was not to give Coco _any_ power-ups besides the super stomp. Like come on! They could've given her the double jump.

The only unlockable powerup coco can even use I think is the Crash Dash.
she can also use the speed shoes power up. the speed shoes and the super stomp are the only power ups that coco can use in WOC

That's because in the final version, the game loads the ENTIRE level at the start. Instead of in chunks like every other game.
