Sir, can we add nitric acid then barium nitrate to test for sulphate ion And we add sulphuric acid then add silver sulphate to test for chloride ion Is this correct sir ?
Technically, you could use the nitric acid and barium nitrate to test for sulphate ions but you cant use silver sulphate. Silver sulphate is not very soluble in water so we will have some undissolved silver sulphate in the test sample which we cannot differentiate from the silver chloride precipitate. However for exams, I strongly advice you to stick to barium chloride and HCl as that is what will be in most mark schemes.
You make amazing videos. The only problem is that sometimes you speak too fast. I'm not used to you accent, therefore, I miss some words you say. It will help a lot if your videos would last one more minute with you speaking little bit slower. I respect your accent though.
Hi! Thank you very much for your honest feedback. It is very helpful and I really appreciate it. I've tried speaking slower but people tend to click off earlier and if adversely affects my reach. I think the video pace was too slow so I've sped up. You can try using the x0.75 speed in the RUclips player to slow down the playback and the autogenerated captions are usually 99% accurate for my videos. I realize my accent is quite thick 😂. If you don't mind me asking, where are you from? I'm from Malaysia. 😊
You have an amazing skill of taking extremely difficult things to understand and making it easy for anyone to grasp
