I really appreciate you pushing through with this story. When asked “ are you a cat OR dog person?” I answer “I am an animal person” - all creatures have a right to a happy life
I’m a dog person but def don’t want harm to come to cats. I feel bad for them as a lot of “cat owners” claim their cat is an outdoor cat and leave them out to fend for themselves which often leads to my neighborhood constantly looking for their cat when they likely were killed by a car or predators.
What they're REALLY asking with that question is "Are you a weird anti-social person or are you fun loving?"

The bit about the cat made me nauseated. My cats are the world to me, and it sickens me when people hurt these sweet, innocent animals. Working in rescue, I've seen some really nasty cases. Animal abuse definitely needs to be taken more seriously. It takes a real sick fuck to find pleasure in such cruelty.

A few months ago we had a stray kitten approach us outside at night. We were expecting freezing temps the next few nights so we brought her in. Discovered she had some wounds on her stomach so we took her to the vet hospital after hours. They said she most likely crawled somewhere to get warm and got burned. Long story short we now have a third cat. I can't imagine how people torment them either.

I've done the same for countless cats...usually older cats that are feral & somehow make their way to my house looking for food. The same or similar happens to farm animals but on a way bigger scale, why does it outrage people when it’s a cat but not when it’s livestock? This always fascinates me. Not really a judgement, it’s just cringe to see all these angry animal lovers talking about how these animal abusers are horrible but will eat steak or bacon.
The cat story shocked me. Kidnapping your neighbor's cat? Sending a torture livestream video as a birthday gift? Confessing that you wish to do it to a human? ugh, I would have screenrecorded the entire thing and send it to the authorities on the same day. Maybe that could've prevented Jorge's death.

He's behaved like a twat in this video! This young man has recounted so many stories about actual people getting killed and never been angered but one cat is killed and he's fuming. To value the life of a cat over a human says a great deal about him. Even if you think human life is equal to a cat's, why has he never expressed this type of anger about poor innocent people getting murdered? I've lost all respect for him and his channel!

I appreciate Adrian for covering this because I had a tough time getting through the parts of cat abuse. I almost choked up when he was showing Nero and talking about how awesome he is. I can't imagine the emotions and restraint Adrian had putting this together, especially in researching. I felt the same anger and passion he expressed throughout the video. As intense and depressing as this story is;it needed to be told. This makes Adrian such a good storyteller and presenter. He gives the facts with raw emotion and compassion without giving any sympathy to the monsters who commit this terrible crimes.
16:58 just pointing out that this was contextually incorrect. This manga is from Gokushufudou, aka "House Husband" which is a satirical manga about a former yakuza turned house husband. The main theme of the series is that he treats daily chores like he would back in the yakuza. So in this scene he's literally just cleaning the house... but narrating it like a job from his yakuza days.

Hi to everyone who follows Coffeehouse Crime AND adores Adrian (spelling). I don’t make commentaries b/c there’s minimal feedback. But here goes: 1) I despise animal cruelty; I wish people who see these acts would report immediately. That includes parents who see a child behaving with abuse to any animal. 2) The fellow who was murdered, was a triplet. I don’t know how the family will “recover”. He seemed to be a wonderful young man. 3) Adrian: I didn’t notice differences in this video re: editing or music. I noticed that you have done song recently “on location” and it doesn’t seem to enhance “my” interest. That’s just FYI. 4) I wish humans were more basically, good. I don’t know why it’s so difficult. If anyone reads this, I would be happy.

My mom committed suicide 2 years ago and a few months later a cat ran up to me in my apt complex parking lot out of nowhere and adopted me. I took her in and now she’s my emotional support animal, she helps me immensely with the grief and trauma after finding my mom.

Edit: I see a lot of people saying catios and stuff. That is the exception! They can also be taken on a walk with a leash. It sounds stupid until you find that your cat has been hit by a car, abused by strangers, or gets into a fight with another animal. You wouldn’t let your dog roam the streets unaccompanied, why would you let your cat? Especially because people see a stray dog and do something about it. People see a stray cat and just don’t care.

I definitely agree with keeping your pets safe, but trapping a cat or dog in a house full time should be considered cruelty to animals.
@@WhiteHillCZNope. I keep my 5 cats and one dog inside. We live on the outskirts of a country town and people hunt around here. Our poor Sadie was shot twice with a .22 rifle. She survived but spent 3 weeks with a feeding tube through her esophagus bc one bullet hit her jaw and splintered. Made her tongue swell up so much she could not eat or drink. So no I do not let my dog out to roam anymore.
@julieloucalcote1368 i still think they should be allowed outside. What you are doing is forced confinement based on your own fear. Why not put up a perimeter fence or something to let your precious pets get some fresh air and exercise?
@@WhiteHillCZ Catio. You can get them in window-mounted units, or full small rooms that attach to a door of the house. Keeps them safe from sickos, they get the outside. You can also leash-train cats. The important thing is enrichment. Keeping their life interesting enough that they don't feel the need to escape confinement. It's how I rescued a semi-feral street cat and turned him into a spoiled housecat happy with his little window box. I even tried to leash-train him once and he was fine until we went outside, then he wanted back in.

It’s just something the dumbass said, thinking (incorrectly as most do) that some kind of insanity defense would be better for their prospects. It’s 100% correct and legitimate that the psychiatrist assessed him this way. If a psychiatrists job was to make an assessment solely based on what a person says, it would be a two hour certificate course and not a real profession.

I have been in animal rights and rescue for 7 years now and unfortunately, what happens to so many animals is so horrendous it's impossible to comprehend. People complain that animal rights and rescue advocates don't like humans but trust me, if you saw what we see day in and day out, you would not like humans all that much either. There are cases that traumatized me so badly I honestly didn't think I'd ever recover. And the saddest and most infuriating thing is that in the country where I live animal lives aren't worth much. It's extremely hard to even get the police to investigate these cases and even when they get to court the criminals usually get a couple years.
So please if anyone reading gets a chance stand up for harsher punishments for the cases of animal abuse, torture and murder. There are whole networks online that make and sell that content.

The comic image at 16:55 is from a manga called "The Way of the Househusband". It's about Tatsu, who's a notorious former Yakuza, who got married and settled down in domestic life. The humour of the series is how he talks and does things that sound illegal but it's really ordinary and mundane everyday tasks and activities.
The image shown is Tatsu describing to Gin, his and his wife's pet cat, how to clean up a murder scene. However, all he is doing is simply house cleaning.
In contrast to this case, it is upsetting the perpetrator of this crime murdered a cat.

The worker states "We don't carry that here...", under the notion he is asking for narcotic drugs. Miku corrects the worker on the misunderstanding, as he is asking where to get flour.

Just wanted to drop an RIP not only for the cat, but for Jorge as well. Both were equally decent beings that deserve to be memorialized. I'm hoping Jorge's family eventually finds peace in this difficult time.
As for Ashlyn, not gonna lie I had high hopes for her at the beginning of this video based on the fact she called 911 on Scarlet until I learned from later information she was just as messed up in the head considering they both shared similar fantasies. As much as I commend her for the 911 call, I'd keep a close eye on her. And I mean, a REALLY close eye on her. That's all I could say on her.

If I hear about animals getting tortured/killed I will go into deep depression. I suspect it's because even though I hear about it & I'm DEEPLY affected, there's nothing I can do about it to rectify anything?

Ah this case is just so sad. 😞 Jorge seemed like such an incredible person. Sometimes you see someone mentioned in these stories and you feel very connected to them even though you’ve never met. The photo with the Ringneck parrots was so sweet. May his soul rest in peace.

My cats were what kept me alive and still are. I am on my last cat family, I have 4, all rescues, and they are my kids. The only kids that I have ever known. I’m 60, & recently lost my dear cat to illness at 18. He was a stray that chose me & had a big impact on my life. I’ve loved & cared for many animals in my life, but he will also be my last. With my health declining, it’s not right to take on any more, since I can’t give the 100% that they deserve. I happily ‘babysit’ pets for family, when needed though!
So sorry for the loss of your precious cat. They bring so much joy! I have 6 of them..all strays. Maybe you can do short term fostering, so much need out there. Many rescues provide support with food and vet bills...you get to care and love a needy soul while the cat waits for its forever home.❤

When I was a kid my neighbor caught my cat, tied a rope around it's neck with a rock on the other end, and then threw him into a canal that ran along the length of both of our backyards. I only found him after he floated up several days later. I think I was 9 years old at the time. The lady hated cats, and she hated kids. She used to call me up and threaten to kill my cat if it entered her yard. She never admitted to killing my cat, but she didn't hide her happiness at his passing either. She was a disturbed individual. I currently own (actually they own me) three cats that were found ferals whom I had fixed, and are strictly indoor cats. I can't understand how anyone could be cruel to them, or to other humans.

With so many injuries and evidence that it was not an accident, it took an informant's confession to solve this case?!? If the criminal's girlfriend had not spoken, this crime would have remained unsolved, I find it absolutely incredible that they completely ignored the recordings and all his wounds (at this point, I don't even understand if they checked his wounds and got the recordings after the crime or 2 years later, after the confession).

I can’t even imagine the pain and suffering that poor cat went through for some sick persons pleasure. That was the first time I cried watching your videos, I was looking at my sweet Russian Blue, Ella, and I would be devastated if I learned this happened to my cat. She means the absolute world to my fiancé and I. There’s a special place in Hell for people like that. Absolutely disgusting individual.

I also absolutely love that, different from your normal reserved self, not giving much in the way of an emotional response towards the suspects and their actions, you could not contain your contempt for these 2 individuals and their so called interests. I think for me what is upsetting is they did this based off of the documentary don't F**k with Cats. I've watched that documentary and the entire thing was about hunting down people who abuse animals and how it's a tell-tell sign of someone who is going to murder someone eventually. To actually use that as a grounding board really makes you wonder how both of these people got that twisted, and again why no one thought their behavior more concerning sooner.

@@tomasotreasaigh111I think they was referring to the murderer and their girlfriend using the documentary as "motivation" to copy Luka.
They do sound similar, as both Scarlet and Luka wanted to harm cats in particular, also Luka put on an act pretending he was out of the movie "basic instinct", scarlet acted as if she was a "cat", so similar in some way, both moved onto human beings.

I don't understand how people don't realise animals are intelligent and both have and express emotions. I've never had a cat however I grew up with a dog who's still alive and a birb who passed away at 19, as well as befriended a close friend's cat almost immediately.
These little creatures are amazing, smart and my god are they expressive.

16:55 it’s not a murder scene, it’s from a comedy manga named ”the way of the househusband” which is about an ex yakuza boss becoming a stay at home husband, the specific scene is him cleaning up a mess that the cat made. Though admittedly the mangas comedy heavily relies on the main character doing mundane tasks while describing them as if he was committing crimes

He's actually not cleaning up a murder scene, but him and his wife's house. Hes a former Yakuza member, and thats why he's mentioning blood. But I'll agree that out of context it's very disturbing.
