Entirely true, I don't think he has ever claimed that he made X project if he didn't but in this case, it's not only much easier for the news to just credit him but it's the same treatment Elon Musk gets when he gets attention on his cars and gadgets. I'd bet the team isn't even mad, everyone in that shop is more than likely just stoked to have made that and getting to make future stuff. I don't know how they pay their staff but I wouldn't be surprised if bonuses are handed out when videos do extremely well, having an opportunity to appear live on the news to a completely different age demographic is a huge win and I'd guess trump wanting to be credited.
I do however agree that simply slipping in "Well I didn't do everything my team did the majority of it" or "With the help of my team" would have been pretty wholesome and true, highly doubt anyone thought he did it solo though,.

He did revolutionize the light bulb though, he created the longest lasting light bulb with a bamboo filament. But he did not have the right to say the light bulb was his idea, but he did invent the bamboo filament idea.

All it is is a GTT torch for glass blowing. At most the torch itself costs under 5k if I remember right. What would cost the most is all the custom pieces they machined to make the handle.

@@moneybaglifts1944 it was influenced by the glowing. Swords of star wars and Halo. It didn't exist that way, in the original doom games. Star Wars has been around since the 80's with the original idea of plasma swords. Everything was influenced.

The first protosaber from Hacksmith was a heat blade - a piece of titanium heated to the temperatue of 2500 degrees celcius. It looks like a protosaber, it cut like protosaber, you can clash a one with another. They created a another prototype as plasma torch, because for the fans it was not enough.
However it still won't be enough for a fans in their place I would start working on the combination of both heat blade and a torch.
Their previous version was better, at least they actually invented something there instead of just grabbing commercial products off the shelf that have been in use for decades.

Does it bug anyone else that they keep throwing around the term "plasma based" when it's not, and it's just an oxy fuel flame. It's cool, and it's well executed, but its not plasma. It's not an ionized, electrically conductive gas-based blade.

As a response to his ending statement, The Hacksmith is literally what has inspired me to begin designing and building some small things.

Wrong. The crystal focused and colors the blade. He still needs a power supply with an output of a nuclear power plant.

No it's not. The amount of ignorance in comments is astounding. This has nothing to do with lightsabers or protosabers, this is a fancy enclosure for a standard oxy cutter that has existed for over 100 years now, literally. It doesn't even use plasma.

It took science to make blowtorches too, so watching how it was made means nothing since it's essentially just a concentrated flame thrower with no blade that couldn't work well.

I just want to point out that he didn’t make a lightsaber, he made a protosaber. So that means we will eventually get the actual lightsaber one day.
Too bad it'll be too impractical compared to guns anyways, unlike what star wars suggests. Maybe it'll beat out the sword but you'd be lucky to not have cut yourself in half by mishandling the light saber.
@@Ali-rv4mw in terms of straight combat, yeah it is much better to shoot from range. But consider the potential of a portable 4000° stick! In Hacksmith’s video, he cuts through a steel wall easily. I’m sure the tool would be very useful in the right hands.

This isn't a lightsaber, it's just a really powerful plasma torch with a stylized look. This technology essentially existed already it has just been repackaged.
