Nice sounds, the Nord Lead is probably my favorite series of modern synths. Can definitely hear some of the sounds here that the previous Leads could not do. Great video editing, too!
Between the thinly-veiled Stranger Things reference and the return of the trance leads toward the end, there were some incredible, creative sounds in there. I'd love to see Aiyn Zahev move more in that direction! Yes, I know you need to make a living, and yes, the Kids Still Want Trance (sigh), but, man... I'd love to see what you could do with these more powerful synths (NL4, Peak, DeepMind, etc ... even Bazille, Zebra, and Omnisphere) if you shed the trance shackles and let the creative electronic floodgates open! I'll be watching. (and, when it gets there with some synths that I own, I'll be buying!) ;)
This is probably the one time you listen to a soundset and get the urge to buy a hardwere to install this. No one does the quality of sound design like this guy! I don't understand why the factory nord sounds don't have his presets!
Yes I agree with your impression. The Nord is a brighter, crisper sound. The envelopes on the Nord are snappier/quicker and the FM is higher quality. I have the Nord Wave 2 now and it sounds very much the same as the NL4 to me but has a lot of new features I like very much. I also still have my Virus TI as they are two very different personalities, and the virus has way more modulation capabilities.
@@AiynZahevSounds Nice, I was looking at the NW2 a while back, but I got the feel it was more of a general all-around synth + sampler... how does it fare for patch design for you ? Are you able to get the same sounds out of it as the NL4 ?
@@happylittlesynth you know to me it basically sounds the same as the NL4 and the A1. There’s more modulation options on the NL4 so the wave 2 does feel a little limited, on the other hand it has a lot of cool oscillator modes and even sampling, and it feels very much like a 4 layer synth so there’s a lot of stacking combinations you can do. The effects are good too.
Do I have to own a Nord synthesizer to use these sounds? I thought they are sampled sounds to be used in kontakt or similar. How can I contact you privately?
Any synth is going to sound better once processed with FX ...are you meaning that the nl4 dry, has no balls? What exactly does 'in the box sounding' mean for you? Just curious :)
The filters are the same on both models and a1 lacks true unison. However it has more variety in its core waveforms and oscillator models and better effects. The nord wave 2 is the best synth from Nord today, it’s amazing however it’s so big and expensive. I wish they’d make a desktop version.
I don’t tend to hold on to most hardware for long. I’m not sure now why I sold it exactly but it was probably to fund something else. If I had unlimited funds I’d still have it for sure. That said the Nord wave 2 is even better in some ways. I had it for a while and beyond the fact that it has less modulation it’s improved in just about every other respect. If they ever made a rack version I’d get it. Probably wont ever happen though.
Interesting from what I hear some people think the wave 2 sounds sterile, furthermore in my opinion I’d say there both beasts but in their own way Nord wave has better delay, reverb,fx and amp and other features but in terms of Oscillators mod and Lfo functionality, and morph the Nord lead wins. The filters being tuned to certain consumers personally I opt for the Nord lead 4. but it Comes down what synths you have and the functionality you are looking for.
Nord Wave 2 and NL4 are fundamentally the same algorithms I'd bet, filters are exactly the same. Wave 2 does have better FX of course but it also has a lot more oscillator options, including 3 different types of supersaw. Layering in the Wave 2 is also a lot easier. @@Daniele-music
Drop that synth! The Nord Nerd Hey, I'd love to drop this synth from approximately 100 metres up. These synths are huge, heavy and cool. Peace ✌️ out people
Incredible, the Nord lead 4 is a highly under under-rated synth. Definitely going to pick up this Library
Thank you!
Very Nice Synth from Nordlead
Beautiful sounds, for me definitely best of all sounds for NL4
Thank you very much!

Thank you! It's awesome for sure.
Your demo sound really nice too !
Just bought today Nord Lead 4 and your soundset :)

Bought. Great Soundset, thx!
I love my NL4.

Now I just need L4 :-) nice sounds ! 10/10
Thank you!

Sami how would you compare the sound of the NL4 vs Virus TI2 ? I almost want to say the NL4 seems more crisp etc... Thoughts ?

@@AiynZahevSounds thanks for your info! :)
Awesome!
I would gladly buy an album of these demos turned into full lengths songs. Also, this makes me REALLY want to buy a Nord Lead 4.
The Nord Lead 4 is great. I now have the Nord Wave 2 which I think is also wonderful, but a little less flexible with modulation.
@@AiynZahevSounds Ohh..! Which of the two is better for the sound quality?
@@user-zd4qy5zl7i the Nord Wave 2 has more sound sources to draw from, and better effects. The filters are the same, or at least extremely similar.
@@AiynZahevSounds ohh i see,,! Is the oscillator quality almost the same, too?
@@user-zd4qy5zl7i Yeah. The Nordwave 2, A1 and NL4 sound like they are all sharing the same engine.
Nice work!! Congratulations. Could you confirm that no external FX is used and that FX are only come from NL4 ? Thank you
Thank you! I used an external delay and reverb for the demo (Replika and probably valhalla or something like that).
Cool sounds. What effects did you use?
Ping pong delay and a bit of verb here and there.
Greetings... are your audio examples here Performances... like where you are showing 2 or more patches stacked or split?
Is it possible to get solo lead sounds out of these sounds to be used in soul/funk context without sequence and with glide?
Oh absolutely. It's a traditional synth through and through, aside from retro futuristic red design.
Do I have to own a Nord synthesizer to use these sounds? I thought they are sampled sounds to be used in kontakt or similar. How can I contact you privately?
Beautiful sounds.
Could these be used with a Nord A1 as well?
Joel Carlo I'm afraid not! I'd be happy to do one if I ever get the A1 though.
Bummer :( Thanks for the heads up though!
Count me in on a pack for the Nord A1, assuming they’ll also work for the rack version (A1r)!
those demos are better then the synth very itb sounding its the nl4 noo balls at all

is it gonna work with a1?
I'm sorry, no it won't.
I think nord lead a1 is better when it comes to texture and filters...
which one is better in your opinion a nord lead a1 or nord 4
?

Whats ideal for trance music?

Actually they did make a rack version and there is one available I think( yeah there are a few on sale on eBay. They are called nord lead 4r
