As an aggressive baseliner (or trying to be lol), just a few days ago I sent an e-mail to the shop at my club asking which of the following three racquets they had available for testing: Prostaff X, T-Fight ISO 305 and Gravity Pro. So your video was a nice confirmation that I'm looking at the right racquets :)
I’m a UTR 6.7, and I’m loving the shift 315 - plow through and spin potential helping me to crush it from the baseline! Also very stable, dense 18x20 pattern gives great control
Yes really good video. Also nice mixup with racket showcases and hitting experience! I just settled for the Tecnifibre T-Fight 305 ISO as my main - and I added around 6g in the handle and also fixed the more rectangular grip shape. Best way to do it: Take the Main grip off and put 2 cut layers of overgrip just on the sides where you want it to get thicker, each side. Then add the Main grip and an overgrip on top again. Feels like any normal grip and is very comfortable as well. I love it.
This is a really interesting tip. I did try the racquet and just loved it. The issue was with the shape of the grip. Trying one grip smaller size, and will keep this suggestion in mind too. Otherwise the racquet is too good.
@@VikramKumar-uk3kb I'm really not a fan of "the one grip size smaller" What for? If you do the above, it's not necessary and you still will have the regular grip shape.
I confirm your opinion about the Pro Staff X - I am in the testing phase of this racquet and I believe that I have not encountered in any other racquet such a combination of power and control. I also think that spin play in this racquet is easier than in all those racquets that consider themselves "spinny". And most importantly, it completely does not feel like a 315g racquet, it is very maneuverable. After some 4-5 matches I think I will decide to buy it. Previously I bought a vcore 100 2023, but after many attempts (changing the tension, adding weight, etc.) I still can't feel it or control it.
@@tophersuwita I don’t find that the Speed Pro flexes in a way that helps you win. If feels decent, but I’d like more stability out of a 100 square inch racquet that’s 310g
thanks for the tips man, really look forward to ur uploads and the information they give out about equipment u can’t really find on regular retail sites. was looking forward to this one since ur community post about it, came out great :)
Bit of an edge case but wanted to give a shout out to the Pro Kennex Black Ace 105: 105in head size, 27.25in, 15tw, 327sw, 32.5cm with og, 325g static. 23mm beam. Just really nice specs. Super stable, huge Gpro-esque sweet spot, excellent feel. The specs are balanced so well as an all round racket, but I feel it really excels as a baseliners racket and reminds me of the gravity pro but with added ball shaping ability from the 16x19.
Would your racquet recommendations vary depending on body type? i.e. should a small person use a racquet that is just as heavy as someone who weighs twice as much and is a lot stronger?
In theory, heavier sticks seem to be better for taller players. There's some good threads on TW forums if you search for "Demystifying Recoil Weight." In practice, I think its still pretty personal. Fritz is like 6 foot 4 and uses one of the lightest racquets on tour. My friend here is a 5.0 and adds weight to his RF97. He's 5 foot 4 and rips the ball harder than a lot of the taller players in my community.
good tip. buy tfight a grip size smaller , because its retangular size will be a size up, so you can put some foam on its thiner side and make it square in your normal grip size
Im a solid NTR 3.5 player (playing for 2,5 years, once a week just with a friend - no competitive yet). 33year old male. I like to hit big from the baseline more, than rushing through the net. I’m trying to play with spin but I’m not the best spin player of my technique. So if I try to hit winners, I often shoot em too flat and they are going too long - out. I’m actually playing the 2023 head extreme mp, because I thought „if I’m not good enough to generate spin with a good technique, maybe the extreme mp can help me with it. But now I’m thinking, maybe I need a more control friendly racket. I’m thinking of the speed or the gravity line. But I don’t know which is better for me and which model i should take (MP, Tour, Pro of gravity or speed) What do you suggest me to get?
Great video really enjoyed this if you could make a video like this every year it would be great with all the new racquet releases as some of us don’t have the time or money to try so many frames..I really appreciate these types of videos as they must be very time consuming thank you..

Hello Beckett, I am a doubles player and was wondering would either the blade 100, blade pro, or the 18x20 be a good pick, also if a more powerful frame like pure aero 98 or pure strike would be good
I just want to hit aces and maybe a forehand. what’s the best racquet with most power on first serve so nothing comes back. I play prince 03 blue from decade ago. They don’t make ‘em the same anymore. Stiff racquet, 110, but 03 ports have some give.
I would probably be looking at the Pure Drive Plus, but its going to be less forgiving that your 110. I'm not well read on the "game-improvement" racquets because I'm not the target market for them.
Been going back and forth between my prestige mp 360+ and an old school PSC v3. But heard that the whiteout 18x20 was like a prostaff or prestige, but with more power. Agree or disagree? And where the heck do you get one in Canada? Don't think Rackets and Runners or Tad's carry them.
I'm not sure if they are in stock anywhere in Canada at the moment. I assume any shop that carrries their strings would also be able to order a racquet in for you. I don't think Solinco has a Canadian distribution yet, everything has to be order from LA, so might be tough to find. To me, the 18x20 Whiteout plays like an LM Radical made for 2023.
I am starting to somewhat hate my new Aux Radical MP. The stiffness is not to be underestimated for your wrists and elbow and the feel of the stringbed is quite unpredictable imo. My 360+ (same strings and weight set up) version has a better connection to the ball, flexes more logically, if that makes sense, and the shocks from hitting the ball are less noticable in my wrist and elbow (still not comfy or anything). But the Aux does look much better.
So weird that you are getting such different results with them. I think the 360+ racquet line will go down as one of the most legendary lines in Head's production history. 360+ feel was special.
I’m also one of the apparent minority who favours many of the 360+ versions over their Auxetic counterparts. These include the 360+ Prestige MP, Prestige Pro, Radical Pro, Radical MP and Extreme Tour. The Auxetic variants tend to be a little more muted and stiffer in the upper hoop (probably to increase the sensation of stability). I like how the 360+ racquets give the sensation of consistent linear flexion through impact with connected, pocketing feel. It feels similar to how a golf shaft bends back and kicks through impact. The Auxetic racquets which are more muted and stiffer in the tip section do not have this unique 360+ feel. Obviously feel preference is an individual, subjective choice, so it’s great we have so many good racquets to choose from these days.
@@TennCom yea I didn't expect this at all myself. And I kinda just jumped into them without testing it first (read a lot and watched a lot of non tennis shop related reviews) and thought well, if they aren't so much different and everybody says its more comfy, better feel etc...I bought two of them... Always Demo People! (Sometimes I wish I could reload a quick save file in life haha) I have a date soon with the Prince ATS Tour 98 (found a demo). Hopefully it's a more comfy Radical!
I would consider myself an aggressive baseliner as well. Not playing flat but rather pushing my opponents out of the court with heavy topspin. I play a tuned up Ezone98 and this thing is a freaking beast :D
@@TennCom best thing ever was when I tried a hybrid with solinco tour bite in the mains and yonex poly tour pro in the crosses. Seems unconventional and I don't have a single clue why it works so well but damn this is a fine combo
Honest question. Why does the Speed line get no love? I’m going to demo the MP and just curious why this line seems overlooked. I currently play the 360+ Radical MP, which I have a love hate relationship with.
It seems to get a lot of love from users (they comment here a lot) but I just hate how the Speeds flex. I talk about it more in the Gravity Pro review, but its too soft and flexy while also being slightly jarring to me. I found that it robbed a lot of power and stability from the frame and it wouldn't stand up to the pace provided by decent players.
I like a heavier racquet coming from a pro staff so I like the really stable feel, crisp connected feel. So what would you recommend for doubles, id like more forgiveness, I’m a skilled player with great footwork. Would the speed pro, radical mp or extreme tour fit the bill
Any of those Heads would work well. The Extreme Tour probably plays the most similar to a Prostaff and the Speed the least. The Speed is also probably the worst at volleys so i'd lean towards the others personally.
Also I’m a shorter player so I was wondering for a more forgiving racquet than my pro staff 97 with a little more power, would your recommendations of radical mp or solinco whiteout still stand
@@TennCom I see, I’ll check it out. Also would it be safe to assume that the prestige pro doesn’t offer much more forgiveness than my pro staff. Also that the speed pro wouldn’t be as good for doubles? Thanks you in advance
I don't like the inconsistent flex on that racquet and I worry about that being an issue if you are using a lot of spin to create angles. For power doubles I think it would work well though.
Hey @TennCom I would like to know why nobody likes head prestige pro or tour nowadays. For me I feel like it’s a racquet that requires a lot of techniques when hitting thus not much playability but I personally really like it. I’d love to hear what you think.
I think you basically explained why in your question. I like the Tour a lot, the Pro less so, but I haven't hit any Prestiges since the 360+ version (bright red). I think the modern game requires a little more help than the Prestiges offer now, so I'm personally not super interested anyway.
I’m planning on switching from the radical mp to the Solinco whiteout 18x20 I think the radicals launch angle is just too much for me to work with even at lower tension. I can’t seem to get the flat serve to stay down either.
Totally. Especially the v14 97. One of my personal favourite right now, but just don't think its the "best" since its kind of unforgiving for off-centre shots. I think it will likely make the list for another category though.
@@TennCom Do you think the v13 or the v14 would be an easier frame to play? I currently play with a very underspec rf with synthetic grip so it plays like a leather grip standard version. Im thinking about getting the v14 or v13 for the days that I don't feel so great.
It was so clear that you would pick the Gravity...! It was one of the racquets that I considered as my favourite pick. Unfortunately the demo came strung like sh..., and I did not notice any improvent over my Blade (which I used at the time). If you had taken some lead adjustments into account the Blade 18/20 would be one of my recommendations. I got mine torn out of my hand by a clubmate, he plays just awesome with it. Pinpoint accuracy, decent pace, tight string bed - but not without adding 20 g of lead and a leather grip. Best racquet for OHBH and slice period. Not too strong however when spin or power is on the table.
I am suprised you don't mention Yonex rackets which seem to have a great following Also what did you string the rackets with ? Was it the same string or different strings>?
I've used all the mentioned racquets with a variety of polyester strings and even some hybrids. All racquets were tested with Tour Sniper at 52lbs at some point though. Yonex did secure an honourable mention in the 3.5 category, but there are a variety of reasons that I didn't feel like they deserved to win, despite their popularity. Part of this is because Yonex racquet have such wide ranging appeal, so its hard to pin their playing characteristics down to a single play style.
Hi Beckett, best regards from France. I wanted your opinion on the Babolat Aero Pro Drive 1st gen, since the denser string pattern feels so much more control without sacrifising on power as it is a pretty powerful racquet. Cheers !
One of my all time favourite racquets. I have a few videos on the channel about it. ruclips.net/video/gVEMNw9u76E/видео.html ruclips.net/video/6rp_HafPe3M/видео.html These are two on my favourite videos that I've ever made also.
Nice video! Technifibre T-Fight ISO 315 g is a strong contender for NTRP 4.0-4.5 spot - with most of the advantages of ISO 305 but in more accessible, lower swingweight package.
100% deserves an honourable mention as well. I do question TF's choice with weight distribution between the 305 and the 315, but it seems like a lot of 4.0ish players aren't getting too intimidated by the 315g static weight, which is nice to see.
Gravity Tour (305 gr) should be on the list 100%. Huge Sweetspot, surprisingly good power and control from 18x20 pattern, of course. With some weight customization (depending on the preferences) it is a very good choice for intermediate player, who wants to strike huge balls, imho I owe 2 ow them - 1st Gen and Auxetic. Will buy a third to have various string set-ups.
While I play a more counter punching game, I really love the Blade Pro and was surprised the blade line wasn't featured in this (though the other contenders made sense so I am not going to go hard on ya) I would loveeeeeeee you to find a Wilson Steam 16x20 aka the most blade paint job'd WTA racket on tour ;) but given how expensive the pro stock version of the steam is (even in the older paint jobs) I'd assume that it probably isn't going to be feasible for you to fork out money to please a small group of people (myself included) to see what you think.
hi hope is not to personal to ask where do u live all the teniss courts u taking vidoe looks amazing, whondering which city has suck nice tennis courts
Gravity pro is not for heavy hitters it has way to much flex i have some trubble to control the left and right because it flex to much and it make it unpredictable
I'm between 4.5 and 5.0. I can win matches in Open level tournaments, but it depends on where the event is played. If its a bigger city, I'd probably play 4.5, but I'd struggle to win a 4.5 tournament in a larger draw because of fitness and mental stamina.
I’m probably a high 4.0 and I love my blade 18x20s. Super quick swing to generate power but still have enough plow for bigger hitters. Biggest issue is that I have two of them and they feel so different.

Obviously feel preference is an individual, subjective choice, so it’s great we have so many good racquets to choose from these days.
@@jerome_morrow this is, simply put, the correct take
@@TennCom yea I didn't expect this at all myself. And I kinda just jumped into them without testing it first (read a lot and watched a lot of non tennis shop related reviews) and thought well, if they aren't so much different and everybody says its more comfy, better feel etc...I bought two of them... Always Demo People!
(Sometimes I wish I could reload a quick save file in life haha)
I have a date soon with the Prince ATS Tour 98 (found a demo). Hopefully it's a more comfy Radical!
@@wackojumey hi, did you demo the ats ? how was it
I would consider myself an aggressive baseliner as well. Not playing flat but rather pushing my opponents out of the court with heavy topspin. I play a tuned up Ezone98 and this thing is a freaking beast :D
Extremely strong choice!
@@TennCom thanks for the insight on this. I’m demoing it against the ezone 100.
I was wondering would the gravity pro be too difficult to maneuver for doubles
It would not be my preferred choice
Good thing the rackets I own are some tfight 305s, an rf97, and a gravity pro. Now I just need to stop hitting my frame XD
Always nice to meet another frame connosouir - Simon
What strings do you recommend for Tfight ISO 305? and the tension? Thank you :D
My final setup was Grapplesnake Tour M8 at 44lbs. Was very happy with it and couldn't ask for anything more.
So basically an Ezone 98 tour. Cool!
I like a heavier racquet coming from a pro staff so I like the really stable feel, crisp connected feel. So what would you recommend for doubles, id like more forgiveness, I’m a skilled player with great footwork. Would the speed pro, radical mp or extreme tour fit the bill
Id like to mention I have a fast big swing
Any of those Heads would work well. The Extreme Tour probably plays the most similar to a Prostaff and the Speed the least. The Speed is also probably the worst at volleys so i'd lean towards the others personally.
which string and tension for the Ezone 100 - 2022 ? thanks
I like Grapplesnake Tour M8 1.25 at 45lbs
Hello Beckett, would you recommend the prestige pro or speed pro for doubles?
Also I’m a shorter player so I was wondering for a more forgiving racquet than my pro staff 97 with a little more power, would your recommendations of radical mp or solinco whiteout still stand
I don't think the Whiteout offers that much more power. The Radical does for sure, you could also consider the TFIGHT ISO 315.
@@TennCom I see, I’ll check it out. Also would it be safe to assume that the prestige pro doesn’t offer much more forgiveness than my pro staff. Also that the speed pro wouldn’t be as good for doubles? Thanks you in advance
What’s ur opinion of the Wilson shift for doubles
I can’t seem to get the flat serve to stay down either.
excellent choice
Would you consider the standard versions of the pro staff good for aggressive base liners? This would be for both stock and customized.
Nice suggestions Beckett!
Do you get racquets restrung when you demo them?
Always
I have a few videos on the channel about it.

ruclips.net/video/6rp_HafPe3M/видео.html
These are two on my favourite videos that I've ever made also.
Tecnifibre Tempo 298 Iga is a great racquet and not just for females!
Is 45 lbs a good tension
No love for the Gravity tour? Great platform racket for intermediate to advanced!
not available in North America anymore, cant recommend something i cant even try myself
@TennCom ive always wanted them to just do a 310, with a lowish swingweight but some room to customise
I'm surprised to see that you don't mention your own racket Head Extreme Tour 360+ on the list. Is it still a worth buying racket today?
Still worth buying today if you can find it for a good price absolutely. More of all all-court weapon than a baseliner basher IMO.
Gravity Tour (305 gr) should be on the list 100%.
Huge Sweetspot, surprisingly good power and control from 18x20 pattern, of course. With some weight customization (depending on the preferences) it is a very good choice for intermediate player, who wants to strike huge balls, imho
I owe 2 ow them - 1st Gen and Auxetic. Will buy a third to have various string set-ups.
Would be nice if Head offered that in North America.
@@TennCom that is smth I don’t get… why they do not..
What about the Babolat pure drive please
I think the Dunlop FX500 and Yonex EZONE 100 are better choices and more complete racquets in general.
I really want to try the Technifibre.
My weapon of choice gpro aux, coming from et360+.
Can u do a review of Volkl C10 evo?
While I play a more counter punching game, I really love the Blade Pro and was surprised the blade line wasn't featured in this (though the other contenders made sense so I am not going to go hard on ya)
I would loveeeeeeee you to find a Wilson Steam 16x20 aka the most blade paint job'd WTA racket on tour ;) but given how expensive the pro stock version of the steam is (even in the older paint jobs) I'd assume that it probably isn't going to be feasible for you to fork out money to please a small group of people (myself included) to see what you think.
I would like to try that too. I have a friend in Australia with one. Too bad I had traveling.
@@TennCom Australian here too. If you ever travelled I bet you'd love it down here :)
P.S
I didn't mention before but thanks for the content.
Pro Staff X or Shift ?
PSX all the way. Shift is not my jam at all
hi hope is not to personal to ask where do u live all the teniss courts u taking vidoe looks amazing, whondering which city has suck nice tennis courts
top secret location for now
Wb the head speed mp
Gravity pro is not for heavy hitters it has way to much flex i have some trubble to control the left and right because it flex to much and it make it unpredictable
Imo i say for a player who's 3.5 to low 4.5 the Yonex regna 100 is perfect, from high 4.5 to over the Yonex regna 98 is perfect
tough to recommend the Regna due to availability
@@TennCom yeh your right
Nice video, but there is a new GOAT in the universe! ;)
Surprised that the Vcore 95 wasn't anywhere on the list.
for me its more of a contender for All court
8:35 interesting review of the racquet 😂
What is your level of play, Beckett?
I'm between 4.5 and 5.0. I can win matches in Open level tournaments, but it depends on where the event is played. If its a bigger city, I'd probably play 4.5, but I'd struggle to win a 4.5 tournament in a larger draw because of fitness and mental stamina.
I expected yonex to be on the list😢
It is. Ezone 100.
I’m probably a high 4.0 and I love my blade 18x20s. Super quick swing to generate power but still have enough plow for bigger hitters. Biggest issue is that I have two of them and they feel so different.
RIP Wilson QC
I had this issue on my retail v7 18x20. but now switching to a blade pro v8 18x20 - they are a bit closer in spec. RIP Wilson QC though :(
The phantom 100p is also a beast from the baseline.
too flexy
Can somebody do a summary
2 best: TF305 iso and Gravity Pro
A good racket with bad technique vs a bad racket with good technique....
surprised the underrated wilson ultra 100 v4 wasnt on the list… i tried the gravity and it sucked
I want to see a video about footwork ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Ah yes I am an expert in that
first
Goat racquet pure strike 98 18x20 with added heavy grip
