Both parents are at fault in this. By cheating on his mom with skinny models (and the daughter knew about this) he's sending a message to his daughter that only skinny women are attractive.
The mom shouldn't have taken her trauma out on her.
But both parents needed to take accountability for everything they did wrong.

When your mom is your main bully, it hits different. That’s why a lot of kids starve themselves. And that’s why when kids get older they don’t want to have nothing to do with the people that put them in a terrible mental place. This is why you should never judge because you have no idea what people go through. But sadly, people don’t even care about that.

Mom of 3 here. 2 girls... I'm so afraid of them having body issues. I never use food as a reward, comfort, or punishment. No taking away snacks because they messed up. No giving them ice cream just because they feel down... Food should be treated with respect, and they are learning to treat their bodies with respect, no matter what size. Still- they struggle with self image. There's a whole world telling them that pretty and thin is better. It's not always, though. I love my children, and my ultimate goal is that they will be happy, so long as they don't harm themselves or others.

@Alivefor29 I really hope this message reaches you. When you're a minor living under your parents rules, it's hard to see the big picture. I want you to be ok. I want you to grow up and find your self- worth and inner- beauty, because that is SO much more important than who looks better in a bathing suit, or what you look like on the outside... I actually am living with my mom again after many years- and I have set the rules for how MY daughters are to be talked to. No mentions of, "You've got such a butt now!" Or, "She inhaled that food! She is going to pack it on!" Or, "Don't you think those leggings are too sexy?" (The leggings were on my 11 yr old, and no. They weren't. They were dark blue with cute little cut outs on the ankles. I don't sexualize 11 yr olds.)
Just-- chin up and keep it going. Remember that people see more when they aren't so close to you. You are more. And I hope you'll see that, too. You are worth it. ❤️

I grew up watching my Mom yo-yo diet & constantly lose/gain weight in a very unhealthy manner. She also complained about her appearance/size 24-7 & was never happy with her body or looks. I've since developed low self esteem & always felt that thin was the only way to be beautiful. I'm 39 now with children of my own. Luckily years later, I now know this isn't true. People can be beautiful in all shapes & sizes, you should never let anyone make you feel insecure or uncomfortable with how you look, or what your body is like. It took me years to get to a place where I'm more accepting of my body. I've had 4 children, so my body is far from perfect, but I love it because it gave me children & keeps me strong/healthy. One of my teens is plus sized, but she's also super confident + happy/healthy, so I don't dare mention her weight, or anything about her size. If someone does choose to lose weight, let that be their own personal decision, not anyone else's! No one has the right to make you feel self conscious of unaccepting of your body. You can be beautiful at any weight, shape or size! God bless.✨And if you have children, please don't make negative remarks about yourself in front of them either. You may not think it effects them, but if a child is raised to always hear critical remarks about their parent's appearance, they could also end up with low self esteem like I did. Trust me, what you say does impact your child! If you teach your children to love themselves, no matter how they look, you are doing them a huge favor. Society is mean & harsh enough. Don't be judgemental about your own body or your children's. Thank you Vid Chronicles for this video & important message!♥️

Here's the thing, I do think parents should encourage their kids to eat healthier. Especially if that child is overweight it's the parent who needs to set the example. Sometimes it takes a bit of tough love but there are ways to go about it that don't involve belittling and bullying your child.

The thing is with my mother is, she got really fat and over weight that she got diabetes and her medicine made her lose like 50-60 pounds. She is know saying that I should lose weight should I be mad at her for saying that or forgive her tell me what I should do like he says we are all in this together!! P.S the mother is fatter/ bigger than the daughter

Very nice and perhaps makes atleast some people change their attitude.
What some people don't seem to understand is body shaming is totally unacceptable even if they are mothers, relatives etc. If at all they wish to be really helpful, hey need to be supportive like the dad in the video and not demeaning.
weight loss is not easy for everyone and may be due to other aspects like genetics, environmental etc.etc.
They pass rude comments as though they know in and out .They would forget that easily but they cause a deep scar in those who are at the receiving end.
