I mixed sound for these guys every week at the Grand NYC (1993) with some great special guests, Steven Van Zandt and Sebastian Bach & many others. Great times.
I called in Thunder Road it's a weekly Springsteen and the E Street Band radio show out of Hofstra University Long Island N.Y anyways she had NO IDEA that Stevie Van Zandt did this. A HUGE Mikey Monroe fan now but between The River album n USA album sessions he met MM didn't have a clue who Hanoi Rocks was lol. Heard them, loved MM n the rest is history. Sad that the world doesn't know with HR there is NO G n R n others. Anyways YES love it that YOU know the whole SVZ connection n ur work with them all!!! Awesome I was so happy to read this!! This is such a SVZ n even a ESB jam style wise Pop slash Power Pop slash RnR during that early 80s late 70s peak.
I caught him with his new band at Dante's in Portland and hey put on an amazing show!!! They played old D23, early Hanoi and several new tracks. Great show all the ay around. He still bring a stage presence like few others can. Shoe-gazers take note.
Eddie Hitler: "oi, Matey, what say we go down to the Palais tonight and pull some birds. I hear they got a cracking band." Ritchie Richard: "Do tell! I was just thinking that we need to get out of this hell hole that our landlord claims is a boutique flat." Eddie: "I do believe they are a fine group of rumblers called Demolition 23, sunny jim." Ritchie: "That name sounds more like the aftershave you bought me for Christmas 5 years ago, and we ended up using it as salad dressing..."
@@kimmofederley2255 Jimmy is now Lars Ulrich's drum tech. When not on tour with Metallica, he lives back in his hometown of Cleveland, OH. He still does session work, and occasional one-off live gigs, but he's not "in a band" any more.
