  • Hunter's MP Rotator is a revolutionary sprinkler that has set a new standard for water efficiency. Learn how the MP Rotator saves water and money by using rotating streams and a lower application rate. It's double-pop feature and only one moving part, the MP Rotator boasts unparalleled levels of durability.
    Note: The left edge indicator on new models has a line, but it is no longer a white line. And there is an indentation just below the line to indicate the left side as well.

    am in Cape Town and have installed a wellpoint and am watering my entire property with ten of these beauties All At Once which everyone told me was impossible. I tried multiple different heads which took too much water so my system could nit build up sufficient back pressure. With the Hunters installed they all run at once. Thank You Hunter !

    completed a large irrigation job in 2011...forced to use rainbird's version.....a good part of the project was rotators...what a night-mare...550 heads...cleaning them out, replacing nozzles...just completed a large house install today...used hunter's version....toally impressed...25yrs in the business....sold me....BTW...they are being used with rainbird's 1800 series heads...IMHO...still the best...but hunter is a damn close second.

    MP Rotators are a great water conservation device and take proper irrigation knowledge to set-up. You should have pressure regulation at 40psi and you should lengthen your run time which still saves water as the video states. The MP put down water slower and you need to adjust your Timer (controller) and ensure proper pressure regulation. Water Conservation is everyone's job and take proper knowledge, not just replace head and guess work.

    @Bazzaland Yes they are better than concrete doughnuts. They do withstand the string trimmers and they won't sink and disappear like the doughnuts. Sprinkler Buddy keeps your sprinkler heads visible with a lot less maintenance long term by preventing grass from growing between the indicator and sprinkler head shaft via the custom fit design.

    I like the look of these, nice design. I'm chasing a 'rotating finger' long stroke adjustable pop-up, for a coastal residential property with calcium and sand issues. Many of my contaminants pass the usual filter, and clog traditional nozzles. I'm a little concerned my 'corridor/strip' sprays only need around 2m throw, but the smaller throw might get blocked more than the long throw ones. Do you have an email address I can send my plans to for recommendations? I'm in Western Australia.

    Just installed them in my rain bird 30 year old system. All work perfect except last head in zone ( can’t turn down enough) is that because pressure is to high and if so can that be resolved by installing a pressure reg body in that spot or will my problem just move to a different head

    I am missing something. I like the looks of the spray pattern. I went to a county irrigation class and they recommend these. However, if my lawn requires an inch of water every week, the MP's deliver .04 GPM so I must run my system on this zone for 2.5 hours instead of an hour. What am I missing?

    I had two estimates for an irrigation system. One told me I would need 9 zones. The other one told me that he used these nozzles and I would only need 5 because of their efficiency, etc. He was half the cost of the price from the first contractor. Does this sound right?

      Hunter Irrigation You are advertising the range can be changed by 25% just by changing the skrew. Changing the range by replacing the PRS is not a feature. You don't get below 7.5 meters with a MP3000-90 and PRS-40. Range of the MP2000 on the other side is to low for my needs. I need 6.9 meters.

      @@MC-cp1hg The mprotator is just a sprinkler nozzle. You would buy the 4 inch pro spray spray body that is 1/2 then use an adapter from 1/2 to 3/4. Then screw on the map rotator. All the np rotators and pro sprays can be found at Home Depot or lowes.

    I would like to know about the range numbers: If one is rated at "8 to 15", does that mean I cannot adjust the radius to be less than 8 feet?

    • @brandonvierra8177

    • @Hunter_Industries
      @Hunter_Industries  2 года назад

      Thank you for contacting Hunter Technical Support.
      The distance of coverage for the MP Rotator nozzle is dependent upon the incoming pressure.
      If you are not able to adjust the radius down to the low end of the range, then the incoming pressure may be too high for the minimum desired radius. Use the Pro-Spray PRS30 (PROS-PRS30) to maintain 30 psi at the MP Rotator nozzle for minimal radius options.
      If you have a MP rotator rated for 8 to 15 feet you will not be able to adjust the radius to be less than 8 feet. If you would like to adjust below 8 feet you will need the MP800SR. These MP Rotators have a radius of 6 to 12 feet.

    • @BonnerBB
      @BonnerBB 3 месяца назад

      Because you said "still brown" I assume it was brown running 5 minutes on the old nozzles. 5 minutes was giving you brown grass then 20 minutes on the MPR rotator is no different. .40 vs 1.60 precipitation rate. All you did was slow down the application rate still need to increase your run time no matter which nozzle you use. Shoot for a half inch of water in one or two applications a week.

    • @Hunter_Industries

      Thank you for contacting Hunter Technical Support.
      The distance of coverage for the MP Rotator nozzle is dependent upon the incoming pressure. If you are not getting the distance you require, your incoming pressure may be too low to achieve the desired distance of coverage.
      Check if your valve has a flow control handle. If so, you may be able to increase the flow from the valve. Open the irrigation valve flow control handle by turning the handle in the counterclockwise position.
      If the valve flow control is fully open and you still are not getting the distance you require, the flow for that zone is too high (too many heads) or a possible break in the piping causing a reduction in pressure.
      If you are not able to adjust the radius down to the low end of the range, then the incoming pressure may be too high for the minimum desired radius. Use the Pro-Spray PRS30 (PROS-PRS30) to maintain 30 psi at the MP Rotator nozzle for minimal radius options.

      I'm an irrigation designer as I use about 90% drip on all of my irrigation plans. Sometimes even turf areas where it makes sense. Of course, if I have a larger field where I can use rotors or something similar, I would use that but that doesn't mean you can't install drip in those open fields.
