    Looking good. I just placed an order on a trex 470lp to beat the shit out of it

      Nice! That was the plan with my 470 and it has never been crashed lol

    Nice video!
    4.5 minutes in idle up1 only - seems a little short. Egodrift must be a little power hungry. Looks like a very nice heli but I don't hear you raving about it like the raw 580. But I get it, no reason to cause disparage in the person that you just finished building this heli for. It does certainly look nice cosmetically. I love to see new helis "showcased". Thank you!

      Thank you! So after the fifth or sixth white, I realized that the ESC LVC was set to 3.6V per cell witch under load or very easy to hit! This is actually the second hobbywing 150 I have run into that issue with. I set it to 3.2V per cell and got 5 minutes of Idle 1 and 2 flying. It is a great helicopter. It flies really good it’s really light and nimble but I definitely like the 580 a lot more. They cost about the same to build. Really the price difference shines in the replacement parts. The 550 is much cheaper to rebuild, but I still think the 580 flies much better.

    How are the comparisons between the Nimbus and the RAW?

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  Год назад +2

      They cost roughly the same to build the 580 is definitely bigger and I feel like flies better but the 550 is a great flying machine with cheaper parts and a crash.

    Do you know, what’s about the spare parts. My first impression is, they are harder to get than for example SAB. I am wrong?

      Spare parts are very easy to get. XL power has been around a long time. Every online hobby shop has a full line of parts.

    I'm still trying to decide if I should run this heli on 6s or 8s? What you think?

    • @westhobbiesrc8051

      6s is perfect of this Heli unless your looking for more torque for harder 3D. I never got it to bog or lack power granite. I’m not a hard-core 3-D smack pilot, but I feel like the 6s set up is perfect.

      @@westhobbiesrc8051 that's what I was seeing in this video. Seemed like it did perfect with 6s.
