  • A postgraduate degree combining environmental thought and ecological embodiment through our paradigm-shifting learning model.
This programme is designed to help students develop their understanding of how their movement practice, or a project-based approach involving interaction with place and communities, can serve as a catalyst for real change towards a more regenerative, inclusive society.
Schumacher College, as part of the broader Dartington Trust, is a leader in the emerging ecological paradigm. We are committed to teaching our students how they can join us in this new space in which we are all working collaboratively towards a brighter future for all people and the planet.
Apply now to join the programme in April 2023.

Different subjects, wonderful guest lecturers, outdoor adventurers, students coming from everywhere do do backpacking etc in a programme that is a little bit of everything (for a lot of money). Don't want to be mean, yet it's good to be critical!

Hi Ak Bk, thanks for your feedback - it is good to have critical friends yes! Postgraduate study is an investment, but it is possible for many students to take out a Student Loan, and we offer substantial bursaries where possible to help students who wouldn't otherwise be able to study with us. The MA Movement, Mind and Ecology is very specific in its focus on each student's movement practice (from dance to rock-climbing) and combining these with an understanding of ecological thinking. The idea is that each student comes away from the course with a greatly improved sense of how they can act meaningfully, on a personal level and with others, to try to resolve the pressing environmental and social issues we all face today.
