It’s funny how the first game was a joke, no lore, jokes then rapidly it turns into a lore packed sad rollercoaster. It’s been amazing seeing this ending again.
after not remembering how dsaf ended.. seeing it all again.. genuinely brought tears to the eyes... an series once started as an joke.. evolved in THREE GAMES to an emotional, gut wrenching story... once you know either the good or bad ending, doing the opposite just hurts.. and going back to the prior games after knowing what we know from the third.. it just makes them all the better... i feel like DSAF is unironically a perfect fan game- nay.. a perfect game. a love letter to memes, fnaf, fnaf fans, fans of the series, and good story writing...
I think that’s the best way to say it: These games were a love letter to every FNaF fan, memer, and every single person who was tired of working the night shift.
I don't care what anyone says, DSaF 3 is the best fnaf fangame- no, fnaf GAME, story-wise. This is incredible writing, everything is perfectly comprehensible and there's no obscure and convoluted puzzles pieces that ultimately lead to nothing actually important. Once again, thank you Direct Dogman for giving us this masterpiece of a game.

Yeah, it's story is so tightly written and the overall game in general is such good quality that it's insane to me that this is just a fan game! I'll be honest, as heart-breaking as it is, I'm glad that 3 was the last instalment considering what has happened to FNAF as of recent and many other games and series that are continued even though the story is finished. Truly a work of art!
So I’m pretty sure he won’t see it at this point, but there’s a funny ending where I believe you don’t get the good run, and go hardcore on the job aspect. Dave like comes in at the end stage of the job to do his whole you did this for speech, and gets absolutely fucking lambasted. Old sport just lays into the man, genuinely one of the funniest scenes in the series. Also I am so glad he did the phone route as well. It’s so easy to miss but god is it worth it. Some of the best parts of the game, also a neat setup kinda for dialtown with phone people plot. In fact, I’ll just say it. This is legitimately the best playthrough of the Dayshift series, bar absolutely none. I mean that from the bottom of my heart, *thank you Geese for giving this series a shot.* And thank you twitch chat for manicly chanting “PICK UP THE FAX” and “GRAND CANYON” enough for him to play it. Goddamnit. I've already seen this ending twice before, but seeing that image of Blackjack's collar in Dave's hands just fuckin gets me, no matter what.
Bro, on the flipside, all of their relationships are so well scripted and choreographed it’s amazing. This game is way deeper than I expected. I actually cried. I never cry.
as someone who hasn't genuinely cried over a piece of media in over 4 years, the fact that fucking Dayshift at Freddy's made me shed a tear says a lot.
For a series made in RPG Maker filled with jokes, memes, references, and... suggestive topics, the writing is probably the best out of any FNaF fan series (or just FNaF in general) that I have ever seen. Ya dun good, Direct Dogman. Ya dun good.
This series was amazing and i almost genuinely cried at the end.... As a kid i always wanted to see rhis game but didnt know what keywords to look for and always saw it as a weird game with 14+ refrences, now i see its way more than that. After playing through the entire good ending of the game, I’ve been way too scared to play the bad ending because I felt like it’ll play out like undertales genocide mode, especially something similar to Papyrus’s death Eventually I’ll get to it, for now I’ll just lean back and enjoy the good ending before playing the bad one
Davetrap is that one needy ex that still loves you that you've moved on from. Manipulative and totally jealous of your new partne- I mean, old spring lock suit. Also, gotta love how as you move on, Jack just gets more sporadic like Dave. (See month 3 with the orange phone. It's pretty funny)
These games are some of my favorite games, you should 100% play all of Dialtowns routes its writing is way better then DsaF, Peter, Roger and Harry also makes an appearance!

This formula is also probably why DSAF 2 and The Mastermind of The Warehouse are possibly my favorite entries. I really like when things are funny, but also has a story to it.
