As someone who was "ordained" in the late 70's by the phony, fraudulent business pretending to be a "religion", and someone who woke UP and ESCAPED OUT in July of 2000 (chased across the country, and helped out of the Tampa Airport by the Tampa Police), AND had this "church" write thousands of lies about me, to this day up on the Net......please find out the other side, and WHY it is "So controversial".

PSS: As always, for people "in"...it SOUNDS so great. However, I think we need to work on educating the media to ASK: "If you can think for yourself as you claim, why is it you CANNOT (per your own writings you follow) read certain books, speak with KEY people who used to help run your 'church', and you are not allowed to say or even think certain things?

Hubbard almost *never* spoke of "God". He pitched "Scientology is non-denominational": nothing could be farther from the truth. The TOP of Scientology is "OT 8". I got to OT 7, was a highly trained auditor, spent 30 years 'in", saying similar things as these nice people are. The sad truth is one is shut off of FACTS. They CANNOT look at both sides. "The greatest good for the greatest number of dynamics" which are 8 key areas Hubbard said one survives on. I had a "Silent birth"..mainly because I have Epilepsy and feared my son would 'get it', which is totally false. Scientology insisted I get off of my medication for Epilepsy---I ended up having Grand Mal Seizures, lost my short term memory. As my Mom thankfully said: "Tory, these people are going to KILL YOU". It was only her threat of flying out and "Trust me, L Ron Hubbard and Scientology will NEVER forget your Mom" (If I wasn't back on my much needed medication that day). This man CANNOT read the FACTS about L Ron Hubbard, nor can any members.

Curious how this happened - did the TV editors just fail to do any research before inviting them on? With so much material out, it's quite difficult to understand..

I would love two weddings. Idk what that lady is upset about. Plus they don't do services so why is it important for them to have a wedding service?

I am acquainted with both the bride and groom and their families, I am not a scientologist myself I was born and raised a catholic, not unusual you say, unless you apply the phrase to scientology it seems. I digress, I am not here arguing the pros and cons of scientology. My point is that irrespective of religion I know the families in question to be Loving, generous, considerate people, great role models for their children, with great family values. They live healthy lifestyles and generally speaking are some of the nicest people I know. As for what religion they follow, sorry what did you say it was called.... scientology....well if this is the result I rate higher than most other "accepted" religions. ps Tory 30 years! a long time to sleep...

Bullshit puff piece. The harshest they can be is the say there's a lot of mystery? I can guarantee you that some of those texts they received asked more pressing questions but they cherry picked the neutral ones...mustn't upset the nice smiley couple.
