Interesting. I did it one time in Final Cut and have long forgotten how now lol.

Well, now you know how to do it in Resolve! :)

Thanks for the tutorial. I'm new with DaVinci. What FREE plugins, transitions etc. your recommend? What are all the must have tools I need? Ok, maybe not all but necessary ones

You're welcome! There's nothing that you NEED to add to Resolve, but as far as freebies go, it's such a specific use case for the thousands of add-ons out there that I can't just recommend them, if that makes sense.
I'd suggest doing a search for "free resolve " plugin, transition, whatever, and you'll find there are thousands of creators out there who have made stuff and put it out for the world to use.
Good luck, and welcome to the world of Resolve!

@@CreatorReality1 I understand. I'm just so new to all this I don't even know where to start. I have realized that there are plugins and other tools that will speed up the work. But yes, there will be a lot of trial and error - and watching RUclips 😃

@@vesa.koskelainen I totally get that! My suggestion would be to study the basics first, and learn some shortcuts and how the program functions, render a few videos, and then start exploring more advanced things like Fusion, Fairlight, and the Color tab.

So one of the things that I have noticed while I am trying to use the node effects is that during the playback the sound quality of my video is very glitchy. This is my first time doing it and Im not sure what the rendered product is going to sound like. Are there any tips you could give to make sure I get a clean render?? Or is that normal during the edit process when using the nodes.

Depending on the speed of your computer, that's normal for playback - the render should be fine. If you're worried about it, right-click on the clip and click "Render Cache Color Output". Resolve should then render the clip for smoother playback during editing.

@@CreatorReality1 thank a ton for the advice, very good info to know. Yeah once I rendered it I saw that it was working fine.
