Hopefully the remake will somehow inspire EA to either sell the rights of the franchise to Striking Distance Studios(founded by Dead Space creator and lead writer Glen Schofield) so that they may continue the series or simply start working on Dead Space 4 on their own so that we may finally get answers as to why the heck did aliens create giant space faring Moons of Doom that go around the galaxy killing everything in sight. Keeping fingers crossed for the remake to "revive" Dead Space.
@@aevvah_flxwer8550 I've played Dead Space 3 and fully understand what the Tau Volantian aliens did to prevent Convergence from taking place on their planet. What i said about "aliens" was specifically in regards to the ones who millions of years ago originally spread the Markers across the galaxy with the intent of forming Brethren Moons for as of yet unknown reasons. I hope that with the remake coming out next year EA will finally do something to explain away the reason why the true "Marker Aliens" want to turn all life in the galaxy into necromorphs and wether there's a threat even bigger than the Brethren Moons just waiting for Isaac and co. to come and find it. I'm also cautious about the remake too now that i've also played the GTA Definitive Edition lol.

The amount of effort you've put into making this is staggering. This video deserves so much more views! I'm a huge fan of the series and even I didn't know even a half of what was narrated here. Great job, man!
Yes it does take a lot of effort . I found out yesterday while trying to make a baseball clip video on a strong laptop. Imagine doing bad stuff u use as BTC as the currency and it was under $1! They were worth.$0.40 each! So had a bunch of it until the PC died. So I threw it out after deguassing the drive. Why would I care about losing $10 of BTC? Then 2011 hit and I made myself sick knowing I could have bought a nice house but alas I chucked it into a dumpster...😢. So many people and if it was stored online some people were able to claim it. Ooops

I really enjoy lore like this. I'm a huge Halo fan so reading about the Flood's origins is fascinating and creepy. I also really like the Dead Space games but never went out of my way to learn the whole story. This video has shown me that Dead Space has a ton of interesting lore that I would love to see more. Lets hope the Dead Space remake spawns new stories and games that expand the story.
@@diamonddustin7664 I believe we will. The first game when it was made was a little spotty and muddy with the way it layed out and presented its story to you. Im confident they'll do a better job of using the atmosphere to show you the story
The aggression in human evolution would eventually make wars, creating enemies, creating sabotage and espionage, creating untrust. So if someone discovered the meaning to the markers, it would make people distrust their beliefs. As well the wars wouldn't make the homicides caused by the markers out of the ordinary.
I love how rich with lore this game is. The games are barely the tip of the iceberg and you did a great job explaining that. Think I’ll go read martyr again. Well done.
Games like Dead Space leave me scouring for more lore regarding the brethren moons they are soo fascinating and mysterious, maybe we're not supposed to understand them, their ways are simply beyond comprehension, and I wonder a little too often, what came first, the moon? Or the marker?
From what I have heard, the creators of the markers were far worse than the necromorphs, or at least there were planned for things far worse to stalk the stars. Their goals seem quite simple, assimilate all life. But why they must fo this? The end goal of all of it? Is their a father of the moons? That is unknown. The answer, far worse.
I see it as a Faustian bargain... The markers did output near unlimited power. In reality there is a finite amount of possible combinations of matter. The marker happens to be one of these possible combinations, if reality allows for it then it can be made. It's just information basically. Either it spontaneously appeared (as a manifestation of the information of the universe) or it was created by an initial civilization looking for an unlimited power source, or as some kind of self replicating nanobot tech that failed. It would explain the electrical nature of the markers and the ability to manipulate people's brains at a distance.
I like that they never tried to explain it, but since the markers are mere conduits for the brethren moons i guess the moons came first, though the markers seem to have a rudimentary will & understanding in reaching their goals. I think that how the moons operate is similar to how the markers work, a marker can be sneaky and start mind games & growing the biomass growth while making infectors to go around to infect corpses to kickstart a necro outbreak without directly being linked to it and that way avoiding being destroyed, or the marker goes right in for mass reanimation via signal, as seen in DS2 when it knows that opposition is almost non existent and reanimates everyone killed in the unitologists revolt at once. I think the moons could also just fly to a planet and start the harwest & convergence without needing markers, but that would put them in harms way & would take way too long even for them running around the galaxy looking for civilisations that are big enough to merit the energy expense, markers are just a convenient & most effective way of basically growing their future meal & knowing exactly where it is. They probably have several planets with markers where life is in different primitive stages at the time they devoured humanity, just as humans were in their primitive form when they initially failed to harvest the volantians. The true horror in this is that humans & probably many before and after us were just live stock in the grand scheme of things and as soon as the marker was discovered we were already extinct, just didnt knew it.
During convergence the marker also becomes essentially the core of the moon right. Maybe there's a first moon like the first reaper harbinger from mass effect.
F*ck the Markers they're the reason why humanity was never able to make contact with other alien civilizations Mass Effect style. I can't wait for Isaac, John and company to find the Marker homeworld and kill wathever Cthulhu Eldricht abomination thinghy is f*cking up the Milky Way with all this Brethren Moon crap.

Maybe it was just a hallucination in Isaac's mind caused by the Marker as a means to disorientate and confuse him to prevent him from destroying it. Dead Space 3 is the least scary imo. 1 feels like complete isolation and I can't handle those chicken things peeking their heads around the corner. I freaked out so much when I first saw it.
👏👍 Good, very good all Dead Space series and Comics too from beginning to the end.
This was very well done. Thank you
Well it's 520 am and I'm watching videos about Dead Space while waiting for Dead Space 1 thru 3 to finish downloading so I can replay all of them.
Friend: hey so whats the story of dead space about.
Me: ahem. 265 million years ago dinosaurs roamed the earth…
The end credit song should be on Spotify holy shit it kicks ass.
The submarine part is such underrated portion of the novela...
There should be a Dead Space series with good writing and budget like The Expanse.
You're a damn legend, british.
What’s that choir song you’re using in your space monologues? It sounds really cool
I thought this was a deadspace video, History of Everything at half speed.
Super interesting, this story gives me a lot Evangelion vibes
Love it thanks bro 😎
My body is ready for this
