Nice conversation. I think this detail is important to bring up: In the video First Person Shooter, Drake and Cole have no clue how to play chess. The position is awful, very bad players, like 800-900 level (very beginner). I'm happy they promote chess and that they are probably enjoy playing which is awesome. But I feel they use chess to make them look intelligent when in fact, in front of chess players, they are just doing the opposite. They cannot back up what they bring to the conversation here and it clearly affects their credibility for me. They simply want to show off here. I'd love to explore more Drake and Cole's catalogs, because I clearly miss some background to understand why there is competition. So please reply here with links of good music from Drake and J Cole, I'd love to have a more informed position.

Drake, Cole and a Kendrick came up around the same time. You should start by listening to “buried alive” it Kendrick basically talking about being jealous of Drake success but mainly upset with himself. There was a huge shift in hip hop when those 3 hit the genre. They pretty much created their own era.
