- If you are thinking what to do in Santo Domingo, I have a suggestion. Check Santo Domingo newest method of transportation the Teleferico. Which in English translates to Cable cars. This system what started in 2018 and it has 4 station mainly is Northeast Santo Domingo area. I was not aware of this until last year. So I've being planning to come and try it out. I must say I was impressed. The rides were quick, smooth, and most of all seemed very safe. I'm you will enjoy this next time you are in the Santo Domingo area.

I miss Ole, it was my go-to store. And Carrefour market, I retrieved many things I was used to eating when I was in France (grew up there). Here, food is so expensive, I was shocked when I came back to Canada... Food is sooooooo expensive. Oh well, can wait to go back

I'm from Trinidad we could do with that type of transportation it's very smart I've also visited that area and seen where u are its nice your population is much bigger than ours but your crime rate is much,much lower.

Hi Norberis...I just arrive in Santo Domingo yesterday and I'm looking forward to find a place to live here in the DR my goal is to find a condo. I hear you mention Naco, Bella Vista, Piatini and such. Where do you think I should begin, my spanish is decent. I tried getting a real estate Agent down here from the state but he's not answering his phone for appointments. Thanks for any imput.

You can check a couple of websites like corotos.com.do or mercadolibre.com they have available apartments there. I can also assist you but if course a charge a fee.

Thank you very much for supporting my channel. It is a little difficult. I do not recommend to come to work here because of the pay rate. Is to low however if that is an experience that you want to have. What I recommend for foreigners specially if they speak English is to find jobs in hotels, resorts or call center where the pay rate is a little better and less competition and also teaching English in schools.

When I went to US for the first time I traveled with a work visa and the process was or is very different of what you are or have to probably do. You should be looking at the fiancé or tourist visa.
