They looked like they are having a great experience on how Singapore does fusion dishes. Glad they all liked it. Thank you for the hard work. Another enjoyable video by Ghib-san!
Singapore was my former home several decades ago and I don’t recall Japanese foods like what you’ve been featuring in your videos. I have to take a trip home soon😄
Great meeting you in person at Skewer Bar earlier today! This is really a hidden gem in Geylang area where you can chill with great food and huge variety of food! The otah-tamago is really unique and tasty!
Japan don't have Hainanese Chicken Rice. That is why Japanese love chicken rice. The chef reinvent Japanese food with local integration. Very interesting
Saw this video and went to the skewer bar. Pity I spent more than 40 on the draft beer but it only start from May then can redeem. Nice recommendation for the skewer bar. Hope u can recommend similar place like tat in future video.
Ahah otak tamago is rather common in my household. We even make it as chawanmushi too, or if we are lazy, we steam eggs with cubes of otak dropped into it.
definitely have to try skewer - the fusion looks affordable. You would think ngoh hiang in fusion restaurant will be $20. Definitely have to try that when i come back.
Awesome video as always Ghib. Could you try to find the "best" Japanese food in food court/hawker centers? From what i heard, Japanese don't really enjoy those served in the food court/hawker centers
Ojisan, the recent hype on geylang serai and Kampong glam nightly Ramadan fest ongoing, which you been and cover already? Any vlog upcoming from these?😊
Literally just visited The Skewer Bar. Unfortunately, contrary to the information on Google Map, at 5pm only bar is open. The restaurant opens only at 6pm. Left disappointed.
Maybe Singapore is a cosmopolitan city… local flavours of the Chinese, Malay, Indian as well as the Italian, French, Mediterranean, Persian styles give rise to many new ideas being born from the traditional preparations. And not being native Japanese helps, so the chefs wouldn’t be stifled by traditional ideas, but infusing their own thoughts and ideas on ingredients while maintaining the traditional outlook of the dishes… having said that, there are many very traditional Japanese eateries around so I think overall it’s a fantastic blend of traditional and Neo-fusion selections
I think Singapore is not say we ok people or lady to wear yoga clothing is just we don’t care what people wear we hack care about other people we only care ourselves just don’t be naked can already😂, cause like some country if man are half naked with pant on people still can accept I not sure if Singaporean can accept cause some can be quite conservative include myself

Burst out laughing when Ghib said “chow chor”! Totally localised for sure. 😂
Great video and can’t wait to try them all!
I think he meant to say Chow ta, which means burnt. Chow chor means not fresh
Honestly Really underrated channel nice video!

Japan don't have Hainanese Chicken Rice. That is why Japanese love chicken rice. The chef reinvent Japanese food with local integration. Very interesting

Ok the timing of the reaction can't be staged. Esp yaki tamago otah and lychee bacon. Synchronised and genuine! 🎉🎉🎉

Thanks Jeffery! Yes, the mics are ordered and on the way!
you don't see alot of truffles in Japan coz the Singaporeans eating most of it lol
🤣🤣
😋🤤
😀👍
純粋な和食とは言い難いけど確かに斬新なのは斬新な料理ばかりやね。けど値段はかなり高そう。
大体の日本の1.5倍〜2倍というイメージです。でも美味しいですよ、普通に😁
I thought the other way round😂.Japan should be more costly😂which may be my wrong presumption😊
I'm going out on a limb to say that Ghib-Ojisan was sponsored by Kirin Beer
Yes, and he already stated in the video and description box.
@@thewalk7816 i know... its a joke my guy

Genting is not Jenting
it's more like 'Gernting'
Gen of Genki Sushi
not Gen of Generation.
I know Malaysians get triggered when Singaporeans say it like that 😂

i always see Yuiko at Novena lol
Too bad the beer glass is blocking the food at the Skewer.
That's a lot of food at Ameising Hikaru. Did you really pay for all that?
Please don’t mock the Malay lady or chef who don’t know how to spell amazing lol is funny
