The awesome MAUL MORNIE explains why train in Silat Suffian Bela Diri.
This is SILAT for a BEGINNER and the ADVANCED Student. Correct Basics are what makes an Advanced student.
It's not a duelling art, it's not a sport, it is all about SURVIVAL.

Thanks for sharing your fight knowledge and especially the mindset for self-defense as to prizefighting doing what takes less time to predict or bring the party scenario.

I've seen LOTS of these videos lately-- and GOD , I wish I had known about this and could have trained in it when I was younger. I'm 67 now and can't stand basic movements any more (got mashed between two trucks in 99 and STILL not "over" that yet..).. Silat is THE premier self-defense art.. AND IT WORKS.... for street use-- etc.. Anyone that says it doesnt-- is a damn fool and never tried it or run up against someone that does it!!!

100% facts. I'm way younger and fitter, although had my fair share of broken bones years ago but I also have to say that silat is the best self defense for most people against untrained attackers, which is what regular people have to deal with 99%.
I see lots of comments like "ohh silat won't stand a chance against a boxer or mma guy" and that is true, but it misses the point. Any MA, any self defense system will have a hard time against hardened guys who are used to take a punch in the face.
silat is not for fighting, it's to end a fight. big difference.

pretty much what's my country are doing. but, the mindset for some of my people are to just surrender or give up without a fight because they have no pride to protect their country or families.

One thing is- it needs to STAY VIOLENT-- as though it's war time-- because on the streets any more-- it is war. for survival. Leave the weapons alone and don't kill the guy- but do what you can or need to in order to survive-- silat is STILL the best I've seen for that-- on streets or anywhere else. I'd give anything to have been able to train in this from like 15 and up.. BUT- alas, that ship has not only sailed-- it SANK.. ha.

I found a martial arts academy over on Tenaya that I’m planning on training at soon where the main people who own the place, rent it out to a guy who does Silat classes, I believe, twice a week. The main arts they do there are Thai Jitsu, Taekwondo, Kali, and Judo. Idk what part of Vegas you live in, but hopefully that helps. If you’ve already found a place to train, I’d like to know as well. Silat is my favorite art and I’ve been wanting to train
